I am an xbox gamer, but since this deals with mainly PC hardware, I asked this here.

My setup is as follows:

My Xbox goes to a cable that has a VGA + Red & White cables.

The VGA goes into a PC monitor, and the Red and White cables go to a splitter that takes them back down to a 3.5mm male.

.

If I was to use an easyCAP capture card, I'd have to split everything.

I need to know if this exists:

VGA cable that splits to VGA + Red & White / RCA (Red, White, Yellow, Black)

EasyCap tends to only take red/white/yellow (RCA) composite or red/white (audio) black (s-video) so you should either change cables coming from your Xbox to that or get a capture device that supports component (red/green/blue video - red/white audio) if you want to capture in HD. Then, you'd still have to change the cable coming from the Xbox. The better the capture capability the higher the cost tends to be.. Edit: Most people using devices like EasyCap or Dazzle aren't using VGA from their Xbox 360.

Here's an example of the most common setup people use to capture xbox 360 with an easycap - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ono0-51UmPg

I understood that you use the VGA cable - I myself used one the first couple months I had my system. However, as I said up there you'll have to change cables to be able to use something like the EasyCap.

Personally I had issues with the easycap working and ended up replacing it with a Dazzle DVC100 (looks like a white box and has a fairly long cable) but it is also limited to RCA Composite/S-Video.

Edit: You need something that looks like this if you want to use the easycap - this is also what the standard xbox 360 cable looks like -

Is there no splitter that lets me use VGA to use my monitor and the other half go to the easyCAP?

BTW I saw gameplay from and easyCAP that looks better than a Dazzle... like this or this.
