I vote for Valve. I have the utmost respect for Blizzard's past work but when it comes down to it I am an FPS man and Valve makes great FPS.Jade_Monkey
I agree. Plus the modding community for Valve's games gets you all that extra content for free. It's a no brainer!
Been playing dota for ages soo going with Blizzard, finally bought my first game on steam today (TF2) xDjasopanWasnt that a user mod?
Ive been playing only one game from Blizzard, but 13 Valve's games.
So my vote goes for Valve.
I personally think there are only 5 Valve games. Everything else is an add-on or MOD thats gone commercial. HL1, HL2, TF2, Portal, L4D. On the PC Blizzard, in my count mind you, has 9 full on seperate games since 1992ish.I love RPG and RTS games. Can't think earth without Blizzard. No competetition - no matter what poll shows. :)arijit_2404Yessss AGREED.
Blizzard- Greedy, has only ever made one game that I enjoyed (Starcraft), and seems to have given up on trying to maintain the illusion that they care about their customers.
Valve- Pushing new and innovative ideas, constantly offering sales or amazing deals (Orange Box anyone?), offers incredible insight into the game-making process with their developer commentary, and genuinely cares about treating the customers with respect and gratitude.
Doesn't seem like that tough a choice to me...
Vavle, alots of free DLC, more then what blizzard ever did. And Vavle doesnt abuse/screw over customers! *cough* Starcraft 3 in 3 parts*cough*.Dr_Brocoliwell if each campaign is as long as a full game whats the problem...multiplayer will be the same no matter which one you buy. also blizz give tons of "DLC" for WoW in the form of patches. they add new dungeons and other things
But seriously, how can you compare these two companies ? Both supports gamers very good. But one company makes only FPS and the other makes only RTS. Then why this polling? This is perfect example of Apples and Oranges.arijit_2404
I agree. It's two respectable companies with two different markets.

Blizzard games always have a lot of replay value in terms of multiplayer; that has long been one of their biggest strengths. Of course, I'm one of the few people who found Half-Life 2 completely dull and boring. I did enjoy Portal, but there was a reason they just threw it in with another game and that is that nobody in their right mind would pay much money for such a short game that they are probably only going to play through once, regardless of how good it may be. As far as them throwing in additional "episodes" of Half-Life 2 in Orange Box, well, I guess it's kind of cute that they can somewhat arbitrarily divide the game up into chunks and call them different games to make it look like you are getting more. Whatever. Of course then someone is going to say, "Well, at least they didn't charge for those additional 'episodes.' " I've already had that discussion elsewhere in regards to Starcraft II and I'm not going to go over all of that again here.
