CD/DVD burner purchase question: SATA or IDE???

i'm gong to buy a dvd burner this week i need to know if sata is better then ide:question:

There is no performance difference between SATA and IDE optical drives, but SATA cables are thinner and allow for better airflow in the case.

 

If you have alot of SATA cables with the motherboard, go ahead and get an SATA DVD Burner.

I've never had any problems with my IDE optical drives though.

SATA optical drives used to have a lot of problems, I'm not sure if that's still the case though.
