CoD 4 Demo=Awesome!!

i played CoD 4 demo, it was awesome, i never play that such game, that give us new experience of modern warfare war.. i just can say that is not your granddad's war.. :D :P

i wondering, if CoD 4 can be like this, what about Crysis.. OMG, BTW I use 7600G, can i run it at higher setting..?( i mean , i run it in higher than the default setting)..?

I wasn't too impressed with the COD4 demo. I tihnk this game has been hyped up too much. It feels very much like the previous titles but only in a modern setting. Yes, the graphics have been amped up, but other than that i don't see myself buying this game. I do admit that this game is very immersive but it feels like the same old thing wrapped up in a different package.

I understand this in a way, COD2 was almost exact but not playing a new COD because of similarity is stupid, COD1 was great why not play it with diff versions. I wish more games could be as good. I mean its way better than if it was worse than COD1.

i finished getting the game COD4 on gamespot download managerm but when i double click on the "setup" link for it, it says "Documents and settings/blah/desktop/dowloads/CoD4MWDemoSetup.exe" is not a valid Win32 application, Yet i have a Dell XPS 700. N e 1 k no y?MaStErOsHy

that probably means the download cut out before it was actually finished - basic gamespot servers are notorious for this, in my experience - try gamershell.com

as for the people saying cod4 is just like cod1 and 2 - that's what we want, more of the same... i'm often not an advocate of recycling in games (and most of the big games this year are recycled versions of previous games - UT3, bioshock, crysis, CoD4...), i think more of the same is, within reason, a good thing - especially when cod is amongst the best fps games ever made

i love call of duty 2, i think it's one of my most played fps games in recent years... being able to play it again, but getting a totally new experience - i don't see how that's a bad thing

btw, how you guys check the framerates.? i run my games use 7600GT... at least can use until 2xAA :)

the demo rocked my sox.

the tweaked verteran difficulty is a real challenge. maybe it's harder because everyone has automatic weapons - and is shooting wildly at you and not to mention they throw grenades like there was no tomorrow - as oppose to some having them and others not as in cod 2, but still, much more of a challenge.

graphics look great, especially night vision (love the lasers).

did anyone else think the ending to the demo level was kind of anticlimatic? i expected a barrage of hellfire missiles or rockets to be shot at the building and it be layed to waste like the building in cod2 second mission? all they did was shoot a few rockets which clip badly i might add at somepoints and take a few shots with their miniguns. it just seemed... too quiet of an airstrike if you ask me.

Indeed, the game is running beautifully, full graphics, on 1GB RAM, 8600GT, AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (yes, old processor). I just hope it runs as well in the full release.

I didn't expect much but it's worse than I thought. Same game as before with better graphics.

Flank the enemy on your own, use the mounted gun to lay down suppressive fire, pick up the rocket launcher to destroy the tank, fight against endlessly re-spawning enemies.... so tired of the same old stuff.

you can download it from gamespot, yahoo, gamershell, fileshack,filefront as well as, i got it from gamespot,

one thing i disappointed from CoD4 is you still cant see your character shadow in the gameplay, does it sound strange, the developer said we will se new thing in the game,,,:xmonsterbegok

No you are right. I look for this in most games. When my character doesn't cast a shadow or show their feet/body, I feel that the character really isn't there. I guess I am just weird.

Then that just proves you haven't played CoD 4. The 4th installment completely differs from it's FIRST GAME all those years ago. What you say makes absolutely no sense at all.

But that's to be expected for this year's most aniticipated title. Just because it's popular (like the Halo series), people will automatically hate it and find fault in it when there is none.
