COD 4 mp vs Counter strike

I enjoy aspects of both games but is one game really better than the other in the long run?

What are your thoughts on COD 4 Multiplayervs Counter strike ( 1.6, CS:Z, or CS:S)?

for me its cod 4.

The headquarters mode is brilliant, and the new "special abiities" are great such as the "last stand" which gives you about 10seconds to shoot your gun at the person who shot you down from where your left dying. Plus it looks awesome.

Oh and the new sprint is great. Running through streets with a team towards a target is cool!

Which means crud. CoD: UO is way better than both games. Quake 3 is way better then everything. But its the base. Its the structure that CS built. The legions of people with bad computers at a lan party. The 10 year olds, the druggies, everybody. No game that will come out will ever overthrow CS.

The Millions and Millions who log into Counter Strike everyday do not seem to think that.

Counter Strike is the most popular Multiplayer game ever, besides WoW of course.

Indeed. The most popular Multiplayer Shooter ever. COD4 is just "hot" right now. Give it a few months, and you will find it hard to find any decent servers.

Exactly, COD4 is just a Fad right now.

People will not be playing COD4 in 3 years times, the millions and millions around the globe will still be playing Counter Strike in 3 years though...

Its amazing how popular Counter Strike still is after all these years.

IMO:

COD4 is a game for little kids that have trouble aiming and have no skill, All you basically do is look in the direction of someone and hold down the mouse button... A blindman can have a positive kill/death ratio in the game. Its terrible...

The maps are 5 feet by 5 feet and a spam/die fest...

All youCOD4 fans try logging on to CSS and try to kill 1 person that isn't another COD4 player...

One simple answer for you guys:

COD4 = no skills

CSS =more than, noskills

I'm probally gonna get flamed and thats because it's true...and COD4 fanswill beangry, LOL.

CoD4 is great fun and is quite addicting, but I always find myself always going back to CSS.

CSS will never get old :)

as much as i dont really like CS anymore, coz i find it boring, i feel it will always outlive nearly any online shooter to ever grace the PC platform.

it appeals to anybody, of all ages, allows lots of little kids who get teased at school to go online and pretend to be heroes (hehe, had to take a stab at that one. you all agree) and runs on almost any machine dating back like 4+ years.

right here, and now. no question, COD4 mops the floor with CS. better graphics, better online community, better teamplay tactics, better weapons. its better. i dunno how long the craze will really last though....CS has been going for a LONG time.

Counter-Strike = Originator of objective based gameplay

People will be playing CS 1.6 and CS:S for decades. CoD4 is popular now, but it will trail off in a year or two when the next big shiny new fps is released. That goes double for the console side where most people just follow trends like blind sheep.

ya no doubt cod 4 is a good game but if ur compare cod 4 with cs then its no match to cs bcoz cs runs on any configuration and Counterstike however never seems to get old for people...
