CoD Black Ops - Is the PC version stable?

Frame rate stutteringNeed to click repeatedly on servers just to join them, or wait for the entire list to loadChat box in the lobby during Zombie mode doesn't work most of the timeNetwork issues (lag). Sometimes it's so bad you and/or other player's will freeze on the spot whereas others can just run around freely and kill the frozen playerDuring Zombie mode, if even one person doesn't click ready within a small amount of time, the party session will fail and kick everyone out, often loading an annoying cinematicNot even a stop button to stop refreshing 10k+ servers in the listNo filter option for maximum pingTheatre mode barely worksThere's a bug causing the game to roll back player's XP and levelsPrestige leaderboards don't work

These are things I've noticed so far that need fixed.

After the patch the stuttering is gone, so for me it's playing fine. The only complain I can do is: Why they don't allow separate profiles since there are several persons playing on the same computer? I really don't get it, this is a thing that gives me nerves. It was possible st WaW and the first Modern Warfare, or they think that only a person in family plays videogames?

Runs very well for me, especialyl since the two patches they did.

The presentation is definitely slick. But there is absolutely no change in gameplay. None.

Its Modern Warfare all over. SO yeah...if you are into multiplayer, awesome. If not, waste of $60 on SP.

It's like 50 times more balanced, and there's tons of modes and maps. Sure it plays like Call of Duty, but I mean people want that at this point. Black Ops is by far the best in the series though, and it has tons of fun modes and customization to explore. :)

for me it runs perfectly, but then again, fallout new vegas did aswell before all the patches came out.

I just left a DOM match because it pissed me off and reminded me I missed a point in the list I made in this topic.

I put a care package down in an area we owned, 4 guys, maybe more spawned right behind me, swarmed on me, killed me and took my package.

I respawned, put down a sentry gun (I use hardline pro so I can change it) and what happens? Same thing as before.

Very very frustrating game.

It runs okay on my e8400 Core2Duo system. I do get occasional stutters, but those are probably not due to a bug, but more because it's a dual core and not a quad. I'm thinking of getting a quad core to make it run 100% free of hiccups.

No, it won't, but my friend who has a similar setup, but a quad core, has a smoother experience.

This is kind of weird, but is this happening for anyone else? When I play on regular TDM servers, everything feels a lot jerkier and stuttery (could be the server, but it's happened on different ones), while when I play on hardcore mode (two specific servers I usually visit) everything runs very smooth with a slight hiccup every so often, but not enough to call it a problem or really noticeable.

Well its been almost a month and I just now got the game, but to my surprise - HORRIBLE STUTTERING, I can't STAND it. It does make the game unplayable and as much as I wanna play I just can't handle all this stuttering. I'll aim down my sights and when I press the shoot button my aim will be stuck for like 4 seconds, and when I get shot at I freeze up, it's so stupid.

Check everyone's "fixes" for stuttering on the Steam forum... some of them may help. I don't really get stuttering, but my framerate could be a lot better. However, my game seems to be crashing fairly often now :|
