Well, I wasn't planning on picking up this game ever, so this doesn't really effect me. Sucks for all you who want to buy this consolized crap though.

Consolized crap? call of duty started as a pc exclusive and its more or less the same as cod2.... so i guess the ridiculously user overated pc version of cod 2 is consolized crap....Well, I wasn't planning on picking up this game ever, so this doesn't really effect me. so does mass effect 2 and bioshock 2 or stalker call of pripyat...sigh:( get used to it we get recycled games every year...From what I've seen it looks pretty much like a slightly updated CoD4. They are right though in saying they know they'll get more money for the game. It's already one of the most pre-ordered games on gameplay.

im not sure if i want to get it but i know for sure i am not getting at launch or if it is 60 dollars. The reason why i don't want to get it is because i wasn't a big fan of the perk system in call of duty 4 i was hoping cod 4 would be more lik cod 1 which was like my favorite game. But the single player in cod 4 completely blew me away and with mw2 co-op im kind of excited about that. Im afraid that other developers will see activision selling pc games for 60 dollars and will also jump in and sell games for 60 bucks.

Would Activision lose money if it were to release through Steam? That's the only reason I could think of why games like TF2 are hugely successful for Valve and why other publishers are wary of going through a middleman.
Regardless, I don't think I've ever bought a CoD within a month of its release. I missed the first one by years, the second by months, DID play 3 within the week, but never actually bought it, and CoD4 some months after a deal came out on Bestbuy. MW2 looks to be no different. If Infinity Ward is as successful at making this like the first MW, it'll be around for a while, so I can afford to wait.

Just stuff for info: (lawl)
In Norway we usually have to pay up to 500 NOK for a brand new game(not that I buy them fersh of the shelf), and since the exchange rate is around 1 USD for 6 NOK, thus the price would be 360 NOK, which is allot CHEAPER than usually..
wait.. this post probably didnt make any sence, stupid Norwegian goverment thinks that all Norwegians are loaded with money!

i hate that the price got bigger but im gona still buy it but if the price went up on somethin like left 4 dead i wouldnt bother 2 buy it, but its a sequel 2 cod 4 and i do agree activision is gettin cocky but they are smart, besides it is just a 10$ difference lots of people are still goin 2 buy it.
Eh, reminds me of when Doom 3 came out. I don't think other companys will follow suit. I also think it will come down in price a few months after release. There are plenty of other games that people will choose over COD4:MW2 to save the $10, especially when it comes to Christmas shopping. November is going to be full of competition that would be pleased to have a price advantage over the mega-dev.
But of course many will decide to buy it right away regardless.
I always wait for price drops, and this will be no exception. No way I'm paying $60 for a game that's probably going to have 4 hours of gameplay and some decent multiplayer to back it up. I'll stay with my cheap copy of TF2.
