So I might be getting around £1000 and want to build a new computer or buy a pre built one as the one I built years ago is outdated. The primary use would be high end gaming. I would really appreciate if you could recommend me something as I don't have the time at the moment find all the components etc, and also I am sure you guys know better than me. Thanks.

*edit* £1000=$ 1649.59.

Go to ibuypower.com to get a general idea of what you can get for that kind of money.

I was able to build a very nice computer with that price cap:

Add Asetek Liquid Cooling System (+$59)
Asus P6T SE Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported MB
6 GB DDR3-1333 Memory

nVidia GeForce 270GTX ~890MB
22x Double Layer DVD+/-RW
7.1 Channel 3D Surround Sound
22.1 Inch TFT full HDMI 1080p moniter
10/100/1000 Network LAN
Nzxt Guardian 921 w/ NVIDIA Side Window
Windows VISTA Home Premium 64-Bit
Free Wireless 802.11g 54MBps Network
