alright everyone I've compiled a list of searches from the best places to get the cheapest DDR2 RAM. Hope this helps everyone! Oh and by the way the Egg is real expensive right now so these retailers are alternatives! Sorry if these links don't bring you to the exact page but you should get close enough to find what you are looking for.

Buy.com - http://www.buy.com/umerch/q/display/col/orderby/4/querytype/home/als/3/4GB%20ddr2%20800.html (check page two as well!)

ZipZoomFly - http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductList3.jsp (you may have to apply the filters).

FRYS - http://www.frys.com/search?query_string=&cat=-62852&sort=price&order_by=p03a&order=asc&pType=pDisplay&resultpage=1&from=25&to=49

Well that's it for now and if I find some more later then I'll post em. Make sure you send these guys some complements about their low DDR2 prices!

Hi Hey Ultimate you often supply great links to computer stuff.

But try this. When you compose a post and insert the link

in the text body, hit the space bar after the link is inserted

so it becomes a clickable link for the forum viewers. Otherwise,

one has to copy and paste it into the address bar. THANKS !!! :D

Also keep up the good work!!!

Well if people have around $500-$600 budgets then DDR2 is still cheaper and in many cases it would be better to put that extra money toward a better Video card or CPU. Yes DDR3 is slightly better (at a cost)

Actually people are still buying DDR1...I would bet DDR2 is still selling better than DDR3.

I just built a Dual Core DDR2 system and I work with computers daily, believe me when I say this Quads and DDR3 aren't needed to run games at their full settings it wont be needed for another year or so. A fast Dual core with enough Cache and DDR2 with a high end GPU is really were its at for the best bang for the buck experience, people will spend twice as much and get if they are lucky 1/5 extra performance.

OP, I don't know what your talking about, Newegg is expensive....

A good 2GB DDR2-800 stick ranges from $33 to $35 with free S&H.

A nice 4GB kit is $63.

2GB kit is $32 to $37.

$63 for 4GB of DDR2 is highway robbery consider that I payed $45 for my kit several months ago! The price is just going up so quickly!

I bought 4Gb of OCZ Reaper like a year ago for like $35 after MiR. Mobo doesnt support DDR3. Dont see a need for it yet. Thus this thread doesnt really entice me. Good links though.

Costs of manufacturing RAM will rise of prices, supply and demand as well.

YOu'd figure it'd be a little simplier to just work out a smaller manufacturing techniques to lower the cost...
