I was thinking of picking this up but I was wondering how do the games run on XP? Do they have any issues? Also what are the resolutions like? Can you use decent ones or is it still like 800x600?
Thanks. :)

Very nice package. I have XP and they all run pretty dam good. The resolutions are still to their main games. So original C&C will have its original resolution, 800x600 I think. But games that are more recent like Generals, will have better options.Begemott
Sorry to change the subject but was the game worth playing? Even if it's 40$ for 10 games are any of the games worth wiled?

Oh ok thanks. Just wondering was res does Tiberium sun use? Still 800x600 or 1024x768?darklord888
Best....deal...EVER!
As for your question, they run fine on XP. Theyre all optimized for modern operating systems (dnt know about Vista tho).
As for resolution, I am not sure. iirc I had mine over 1024x768 but Im not sure.

all of them are worthwhile.
Red Alert, Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun,and C&C 1 alone make it worth 40 bucks...add the expansions and others and its awesome.
I suggest playing them in chronological order:
C&C1
Red Alert
Tiberian Sun
Red Alert 2
Then do the expansions....Red Alert: Aftermath is problably one of the greatest expansions ever.

I believe Tiberian Sun allows you to change your resolution up to a maximum of 1024 x 768. The First Decade includes the Windows 95 version of the original C&C (a.k.a. C&C Gold), which runs at 640 x 480. The DOS version of the original C&C only ran at 320 x 240!

ahh those were the days
what the heck, no one mentioned Tiberian Dawn as one of the best games on that package to play!DarthMaul135
I DID! I said it was the first game he should play!
Who would dare miss the opportunity to serve Kane the first time!?!?
They all work fine on even Vista. Pretty much the best compilation package there is. Just to be safe: use Win95/98 compatability mode and for C&C and RA use 256 color with disabled visual themes. I don't think you even need to patch it, even though there is one available.

I liked playing Starcraft without being bothered by the graphics but the screen shots on Gamespot don't look very good, if I didn't mind SC graphics would this be OK?

oh ya, in terms of technical acheivement I'd say theyre equal. Personally I like the art direction of C&C better; a tank doesnt take up a tenth of the screen as it does in SC.
So ya, the graphics wont bug you.
