Hi, i joined these forums mainly to ask for help on this, any help would be greatly appreciated. So my computer was totally messed up, i decided to format it, just totally wipe everything off and start from scratch. However, my computer crashed during the format and now i cant do anything with it. It does turn on, it gets to the vista loading bar screen, it will stay on that for awhile then go to a black screen. The screen stays black for about 10mins then i get a blue screen. I cant do anything from there. Is there a way i can get back to the formatting screen? My computer is a Phillips if any one has any ideas. cheers

Well, I'll take a shot. Load the OS directly from the CD (go into BIOS and change BOOT sequence). If the OS loads you can try to format it again.

when you get to the bios screen or boot screen you should see an option that says selct boot device, using your keyboard select that and press enter you should have a little menu that gives you options, click on the one that says boot from cd or just cd click enter and you may have to type y for yes try that and post back
