I have an Hp Pavilion desktop, and it seems that every 5 minutes I'm playing a game, the fan gets loud for maybe 30 seconds. Is this bad for the pc?

The fan speeds up at the cpu/gpu is becoming hot. Its pretty normal under stress of use everything becomes warmer so the fans need to speed up from idle temps.

So there should be nothing to worry about? Also I keep my computer on the floor which probably absorbs heat. Should I set it on a desk? Thanks

Don't worry, if you wanna have some fun, put a pet or something next to it, and play a game, the fans scare the hell outta them.

An odd question,But is your HP plugged into a surge protector? If so try plugging into the wall socket and see if the loudness goes.

Gaming stresses the components and this makes them heat up. The fans speed up to help combat the extra heat. This is normal, but it's worth checking the temperatures to make sure nothing is overheating.

Isn't that the truth, lol. My Zoe won't even come into my room when the stock fan is going on my htpc. Which is all the time, I am not happy with the stock fan that came with the 1090T. Be replacing it in a few more weeks. At least the stock fan keeps my 1090T in the 30's, thats about all I can say about it considering Texas heat.
