Hey
For the last couple of days my computer has began freezing for approximately 2 seconds every 30 seconds or so. At first I thought it could be a virus or spyware. As i am very security conscious with my computer, have both virus and anti-spyware real time protection and am careful with what sites I go on, i found this to be abit odd. However after many virus/spyware scans (With ad-aware, Avast, AVG, Super-anti-spyware and Spyware terminator) I found not a trace of anything.
I then defragged my HDD (which I do on a frequent basis anyway) which failed to resolve the problem. Ive also completely cleaned my computer with Ccleaner and Advanced windows care V2 and still nothing.
I then ran my task manager and this has shown in the performance tab that my CPU usage hangs around 4% with nothing open and then every 30 seconds flies up to 93% it is during this time that my computer becomes unresponsive for 2-3 seconds and then goes back to normal again.
Do any of you know what my problem could be?
PS. I also pay close attention to my start-up files and all of the ones in there i recognise and are important (such as anti-virus and firewall etc)
