Isn't really a big deal, but after a while leaving my computer on it goes black and says no display port detected. I can click the restart button then it works. Anyway to fix this without having to hit the restart button?

Check and make sure your computer/monitor doesn't have the power saving mode enabled.

To get back to the regular mode "without restarting", just hit the Enter or Spacebar or other buttons on your keyboard. That usually does the trick, although you have to wait for max 5 seconds.

Try it and let me know if it works.

@leeuwenhok: Doesn't work still says no display port. Looks like this is a common problem with the EVGA gtx 980. :( hopefully it doesn't quit on me all together payed way to much for this card. Had to reset the computer twice last time. Here is a link to what people are saying about it. Looks like A LOT of people are having the exact same problem.

Is it possible you computer is setup to enter some sort of sleep or hibernate mode? I know one of these two basically turns the computer off and puts it into some sort of standby mode and you have to hit the power button to get it back up and running.

Idk, just a thought.

@xcazx: No that's not it even if I hit the power button it still says no display port. It's the card. Don't know if it's a driver problem or hardware problem. Hopefully just a driver problem.

Just a suggestion, but you should update your mother boards bios, and all of your drivers. May not fix a thing. But having up to date if both eliminates any chance of that causing this other issues. Fresh windows install all ways seems to do wonders when mixed with the above if things get too wonky.

Update your mobo BIOS and see if there's a new vBIOS for your card.

Also have you tried re-plugin the cable when it happens?

Another question, what is the main difference of DDR3 and DDR5 Vcard? some of my friends told me its the same, but the price it not

Is not the same, don't get a card with GDDR3, it's considerably slower than GDDR5, you can see a big performance drop, especially at 1080p or high resolutions.
