All the core 2 duo's and quads are meant to be run from the low 70c range and below. They are designed not to fail at anything under 100c and I've yet to see one do so. At the 80c+ mark you will start to see the chip slow down and may see software bugs/crashes.

The target range for most OC'ers on intel chips is currently no more than 50-60c and below. As long as you can maintain that range you tend to have room to work with when it comes to thermal managment. Try not to trust mobo/chip/software temps. They are often wrong. If you can spare about $30 you can buy an infrared thermometer and get vastly more accurate results with a little bit of practice.

Other than the the brick and motar store, I have no idea what TJ Max is. That being the case, I'd avoid using it to monitor any temps your system is reporting. Also, what cooling are you using for your CPU? Stock cooling should be fine for even modest OC'ing. Most 3rd party coolers are for exceeding modest OC'ing or to bring noise levels down. If you have replaced the stock fansink with an inferior cooler then list the details on it if you can.

the temp of my cpu at start up is around 47-50c. iam using for now the stock cooling, and for now iam not thinking to overclock because i can play the games today with a high setting and good frame rate. so i think overclocking is not the thing for me now. so i guess my stock cooling for my cpu is okay?

TJ Max is the critical temperature designated by Intel. I think most CPUs throttle here.

iirc it stands for (Maximum) Temperature Junction or something like that... being far from it is a good thing!
