Could my rig run Crysis on ultra-high?

2GG DDR2 RAM Memory
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS XXX
( 1240x 1024 Resolution )

Im just wondering if my computer is able to run it at top quality,thats why I bought it after all :P

I think ultra-high requires 4GB ram, but anyway I hope your rig can max it because that is going to be my future rig quiet soon.

exactly...listen everyone, we can't predict what rig will be able to run a game noone knows about. Crysis is dealing with DX10 which is not in the market yet. How are we supposed to predict what the ultra-high settings are for the game.

and BTW, your rig isn't going to be able to run it max everything because Nvidia is coming out with the 9800 series this fall, and i bet you that its going to be coupled with Crysis.

I would have to doubt it. Crysis will have awesome graphics, which will require a lot of resources. I would think you will be able to get close, but not quite all the way up there. Maybe at high.Of course, nobody's sure, Crysis hasn't been released.

Nobody knows, as the game hasn't been released, but I highly doubt you'd be able to run it at the highest settings with a playable framerate. The 8000 series and ATI's x2000 series are going to end up as the worst DX 10 solutions pretty soon, as they were the first cards to be released that use the new tech. That being said, the 8800 GTS is still a powerhouse, so you'll most likely be running Crysis on high settings, just not ultra high.Mediocre_man90

yes, but the idea is that no one really knows if their PC will be able to run this game, so closing this thread wouldn't have any effect on anything because even if this was posted in that thread there would still be no reliable awnser.

No you cannot run it on true max. They demoed it on 1 8800GTX and it couldn't not run the game flawless all the time and this was not running it on max settings. I highly doubt they could optimize it enough to be able to run it on max. They ship it in 3 months. They don't have time to optimize it much more. Maybe if you have 2 8800GTXs you might be able to max it out but we'll have to see. You should be able to run the game fairly well though but not on max settings

I think the point is that people keep on asking the same question over and over again, and no one really knows the system requirements to run this game at high settings, yet people keep asking. People gotta understand that for the time being, "WE DON'T KNOW IF YOUR PC WILL RUN THE GAME ON ULTRA HIGH QUALITY"

No I don't think you'll be maxing it. Not that I'm saying you got a bad system or anything. It's pretty similar to mine.:)

But yeah like most of them said the next series of dx10 cards are coming and you'll probably need those to max it.
