hi all, this is my first ever question and its bugging the hell out of me 80% of the time when i join a server in CSS everything suddenly freezes, everyone stops moving and i cant join a team or do anything However i can still hear people talking over chat, seriously anyone else had this issue? ALSO when i alt tab out of the game and then back in people start moving around, for a second maybe, and freeze again! i also get some random stuff in the console saying stuff like: SetConVar: No such cvar ( _crontab_current_time set to 15:21), skipping No pure server whitelist. sv_pure = 0 CAsyncWavDataCache: 2 .wavs total 0 bytes, 0.00 % of capacity along with a bunch of other crap. anyone know the reason? (i hope this is the right section)

i had a similiar problem with all steam games by valve, try enabling smooth mouse option or disabling it. this fixed the same issue i had that you're talking about. and make sure to turn off multi core rendering.

I had the problem before and it was just bandwidth problems i think. I can't play CS;S with anyone else using the internet and i can't play L4D during the evenings at all due to throttling

as long as the gfx doessnt start looking "strange" like walls vanishing then I doubt it is your hardware, you may ofcourse try to lowering your gfx setting just in case.

It isa likely a problem with a firewall blocking you however and is no biggie.
