Hi All,

I am about to build a computer, for extreme gaming, and video editing. Cost doesn't matter.

I prefer Intel, what is the best Intel processor should I get?

Now I am aware all the graphic card which ati and nvidia has to offer. I am aware of 8800 family, 9800 family. and i will be using 46" lcd samsung as my monitor, cuz i am in navy, i don't want an extra set of monitor for nothing. I am gonna hook up my pc, ps3, home theater and cable in the tv. Homeworks I will do in my laptop.

Are there any other High performance video card out there? If yes what are they.

Thank you for your help.

The Intel Q9650 is a meaty CPU for not an extreme amount of money, newer stepping and supposedely overclocks better than a QX9650. As for graphics if you like Nvidia get a GTX 280, or if not a Radeon 4870x2.

I think I will stick with 9800 gx2 for now, they are both equally good, however, according to the benchmark testings, gx2 performs a bit better than 280 Thank You for your help for the cpu.

A 4870x2 out performs a 9800gx2 by a quite big margin
