Hello yet again members of Gamespot.

My current computer has a Pentium 4 3.2 GHz core (with hyperthreading)

and a 7300GS(BFG)

it also has 1gb of memory, over 300GB of storage and whatnot, but I don't really mind about that.

My question for you guys is - what's more restricting, my CPU or my GPU?

all my new games run super bad (1FPS on 3Dmark06 until it crashed)

so... is it my video card that's really putting me down, or is it my Pentium 4?

its both, but get dual core CPU...you will see some improvement, but your GPU will stop it from doing its best in games

I have a p4 3.4ghz single core and Geforce 6800, and all the new games run fine, so I would go for a 7900 or something, and maybe some fast new ram sticks

i'm saying the cpu, it might not limit you in games but it may set your house on fire (my friend has one and it's in the mid-90s under load)

Upgrade either and you will get a bottleneck. Both are seriously outdated ;)
