40 more pics posted to steam profile (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197964541026/screenshots/)

I have to say, playing the game a bit more, the motion blur is SO much better, and the depth of field is incredible. The diference is staggering.

jacobhazard1704

Yeah and i like that they added the menu option "mods" in the main menu :D Here's hoping we'll see a flood of custom maps soon.

Wow, and to think people just called Crytek liars and console centric developers. This was worth the wait, finally there's a game in which DirectX11 causes a massive difference (Lets face it, DX10 barely did anything on Crysis and people found a way to mod it so you could have very high settings on DX9).

That's great news! Crytek really are trying hard to please the PC players that were disappointed.

I disegree. Those pacth doesn't change a mediocre campaign with linear gameplay and forgetable plot, and the fisrt Crysis still has much larger scale, realtime day/night cycles, better wireframe in the cahracters and much better water shaders. The fact that even after the new patch releasde and the new features I have 0% interest in download the patchs o replay the game again is enought for me: to my interest, Crytek is over.

This is what the game should of been in the first place instead of releasing it downgraded first. Better texture and details, and better options of graphics and motion blur settings. I hope that Crytek has learned their lesson to not release their PC games in the future as a downgraded state first just so they can sell their games to consoles as well.

Uh . . it's not just the graphics that made it a "consolized" game.

It's just another mindless clone of the same crap, that's been churned out over- and over- and over, for the PS3 and 360 for the past 5 years.

Enough already.

It seems that you were expecting Crysis 2 to change the FPS genre...

Sorry, pretty much everything has been done. The FPS genre is the most saturated genre out there. You aren't going to find amazing innovation anymore.

If it would have been just like Crysis 1 everybody would have complained it wasn't new enough.

I'm uploading some videos, it looks amazing but it's definetely demanding (It's still less demanding than Metro 2033 XD ).

Also, haters gonna hate, the patch is amazing and it's one of the best patches I've ever seen.

I think to say 'everything has been done' is a cop out. It's not that everything has been done, it's just developers refuse to do anything new. They're not creating games anymore - they're products. They all copy each other as an effort to sell more than one-another. It's not innovation or 'streamlining'. It's just plain laziness. The programmers and artists are talented enough, but a lot of these dev companies are simply lacking in passionate leaders (and proper writers). We've got a bunch of people in it purely for the profit, who aren't really all that interested in creating groundbreaking games. Crysis, although not groundbreaking in the gameplay department, was still an excellent effort and amazing game overall. Crysis 2 just seemed lacking. It refused to expand upon Crysis 1 in any way, and actually went backwards in gameplay.

After playing for a while the game really does look amazing, but there still seems to be a thin layer of fuzz on everything, like a thin haze. There is no option to turn it off

I just played it for a bit in DX11 and the enhancements are quite amazing. Took a decent hit to my FPS, but the graphics are far better than they were. It's quite awesome.

Advid-Gamer
I think you can turn it off in a config. But that thin layer of fuzz is their AA solution, so if you disable it you might have aliasing problems.

So far I think this patch the graphics is marvelous! Fiddle a little more with the settings and I got it to run with exceptional frames with both DX11 and high-res texture pack on. I'm just waiting for them to release the Sandbox Editor so I could change some parts of the campaign.:)
