Crysis cover, not so hot?

joke? I think the cover is very nice, EA dept did a decent job, it's got style, it's easy to recognise, it's features a fairly central gameplay item. I look forward to the CE box.

the box art is actualy pretty important...you ever heard of the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover"?...well most people don't follow that and when it comes to selling the game it won't be a problem for people posting on this site because most of us have been looking foward to Crysis for over a year now, but if your not a hardcore gamer and you're browsing the shelves of your local games store i realy don't think this cover is as apealing as it should be. just think about it...where else have you heard about Crysis besides game sites on the internet? mattisgod01

With a giant 95% +/- review seal (from a highly reputable reviewer) stuck on the front anyone would buy the game. And if it doesn't get good reviews who'd wanna buy it anyway?

Also the cover is very well made IMO. IT's not original by any means but as a gamecover it's hard to flaw. and was probably highly cost effective.

Main character. The focal point of the game. The suit. and some landscape. Simple and on any shelf i've seen easily effective.

IT's only a cover. atleast it isn't scrawled by a 5 year old with a crayon.

I must agree with AdrianWerner here...that cover is not only ok, it's actually impressive.

It's very eye-catching, and has a graphical pleasantry and smoothness to it.

Crysis can now be pre-ordered over at gogamer.com. It gives a September 11th release date which I'm sure isn't confirmed, and is giving a bonus with purchase. The bonus includes an unlockable vehicle and a poster, which seems legit being that the vehicle must be authorized by the publisher. BTW, it's going for $39.95 which is outstanding for a AAA. I'm gonna buy this anyway, so I might as well preorder.

This game couldn't come any sooner, august and september are shaping up very nicely.

No, you and those people who want "teh scenary" are forgetting this is about eye-catching commericial value .. not "Teh awesome screenshots should be on teh front"...

Anyone educated in Graphic Design will tell you this is a really good clean design.

I like how there isn't a whole lot going on, on the cover. It would be very easy to spot on a store shelf. Plus the guy does look pretty cool anyway. :P

That cover doesn't look bad at all. However, I like darkness... so it should be like a black box with black letters saying CRYSIS and no one could see it but me, and it was my idea, so I will be the first one to be aware of this and I will be the first one to play it! AHAHAHAHAHA!

Seems like people are just jumping on the bandwagon of trashing this before it comes out because it's probably the game that everyone will upgrade their computers to play. The box art looks ok, it looks nothing like a damn storm trooper, I don't know who the hell thought that was a good comparison. The contrast is nice, and eye cathing, it's a bit busy, but aside from that who cares.

You know though, I always buy games on impulse because the box looks pretty, but that's because my Mom fu$!ed her cousin, and I'm the result.
