Crysis, DX9, DX10 performance on 8600GT

Hey guys, I finally decided to get my hands on Crysis and Warhead.

My rig is pretty bad: C2D 2.2, 8600GT, 2Gb DDR2, have both Windows XP(SP3) and 7.

My question is: Which OS is best for My rig? I played the demo in XP when the game came out, it ran ok on medium settings(30-40fps)

So should I run it on XP, Win 7 or DX9 mode in win7?(performance wise)

PS: I currently run just cause 2 on win7(my rig is below min req!!!). It runs perfectly on med-low with decent fps.

I take it you installed Windows 7 just for Just Cause 2. With such a PC, I suggest you play the heavy games under XP.Crimsader

Yeah, i hoped for that. i dont really care about dx9 or 10 really. performance is important. so you think xp can beat 7 in crysis(considering my hardware)?

Yeah, 7 uses more RAM than XP

I suggest getting another 2 GB of Ram
