ridiculous... Crysis is short? I finished CoD4 in 2 sittings... it's so generic it hurts. Yet I wont bash the game because for it's own formula it's pretty good.
I would try the demo first, I mean honestly I thought I'd be gung ho about it but found myself bitterly disappointed. I mean maybe I was too critical of the game but I didn't think the gameplay was all that refreshing.
Crysis is like F.E.A.R, there's an almost even split between the people who think it's awesome and the people who think it's awful.
I personally think Crysis is a masterpiece, and I definitely think you should give it a shot. You'll probably be able to tell from the demo if you want the full game or not.
Should definitely get it, Crysis is great game! Unless of course you prefer scripted games.
The first half of the game is awesome, and be sure to take advantage of the sandbox/emergent style gameplay (freedom), you are given. If you don't, yeah, it may feel more like any other good shooter out there. The second half is more linear, but still a fun ride :)
