I am trying to get back into computer games now that I have a new computer. I was wondering which game would be better: Crysis or Bioshock? Both seem like games that I would enjoy, but I do not want to get both. Also, according to systemrequirementslab.com I have the minimum requirements for video RAM for Bioshock, but not the recommended requirements (everything else I have the recommended), but for Crysis it says the minimum RAM is 256, yet I only have 246. It says I still pass this, but how could that be? Well, regardless, assuming my cpu can play both games which I guess I can according to systemrequirementslab.com, which should I get??? Thanks.

Bioshock has the most unique story line out there. It's up there with the Half-life story line. It really depends on what kind of modo you are in. But in the end going with Bioshock wont leave you disappointed neither will COD4.

You only have 246mb of RAM? Do you mean the video card memory? Because you aren't going to run much of anything if that's how little RAM you have :P

Yeah, for the video card I have 246 mb...i think the cpu has like 3.0 gigs RAM. And to the person who suggest COD4, I am already planning on getting that for ps3.

I'd have to say Bioshock, if only because it'll play better and run smoother on your computer while Crysis is a hog of a game that brings even my powerful computer to its knees at times.

They're both great though, so either way you can't go wrong.

I found Bioshock better in every possible way.

Now, it all comes down to what kind of game you prefer of course. Bioshock is more of a slower pace game, in which you explore as much as you fight, while Crysis in an all out action FPS.

Storywise, Crysis is so bad it's hilarious, while Bioshock has a pretty interesting and engaging plot with a well written script and a very cool twist towards the end of the game, so no contest here.

Graphically, Crysis is impressive on the absolute latest SLI setup, but for the common gamer Bioshock will look miles better.

I would say go with Bioshock just because it looks original and I love those creepy games like System Shock 1 and 2. Those sounds the bad guys make in the begining of SS2 still haunt my dreams.

Download the Crysis demo to see how it runs. If it runs good enough for you, you should get Crysis, if not then don't get any of them. Bioshock isn't worth the HD space IMHO. BS has the worst weapons I've ever seen in an FPS (guns looks and feels like plastic, the wrench is the best weapon for most of the enemies). It also has the worst enemies I've seen in an FPS (zombies, zombies and even more zombies). And the level design is almost as bad as in Doom 3. Also the game is very easy and just as scary as a barbie game After a few hours of playing I returned to Stalker, a game that is better in every way (except framerate)

Bioshock is a very different game that most. it offers a unique new playing style I have not seen in other games. it is a great game. I enjoy it very much. Crysis is the best shooter avaible. lots of fun. so pick what you like best. a new kind of game with good graphics... or a shooter that has been perfected.

I loved both games. They were both excellent, though, Bioshock's story is much better than Crysis'.

Why not get both? :P

Crysis for me. If you can run it!

I thought Bioshock was pretty boring and an average game.

Bioshock is easily better. Such an odd storyline which is very suspenseful. A great first person shooter. (Using telekinesis on nitro splicers was fun :) )
