Right now I a playing the Longest Journey and it is the only adventure game that I am managed to play for more than three hours. The whole idea of shaking my mouse across the screen just so that I can find some lever or tiny key I missed among the myrad amounts useless objects drives me nuts. So does the whole finish every puzzle you can design even if it is in no way related to the story, but you should do it so that you can get that uselles piece of wire that will come into play in three hours so you can complete the next puzzle design.

I liked the Longest Journey (I only played it recently) I played it after completing the sequel - Dreamfall. The first one - TLJ, was a better pure adventure game, because Dreamfall for me had fewer or easier puzzles. There was a point where I had to consult a walkthrough because I missed a bit where I didn't move the mouse over the right part of the screen, but in retrospect all the clues were there for me to 'get' that I should of put my mouse pointer there. If you play the game by just moving the mouse across every inch of each screen you not only won't enjoy it but you will miss things. Use your brain and eyes first and you'll find it will be easy to find the bits you're meant to. This is one of the best adventure game series, stayed tuned for part 3.
Hey JP_Russell, Have you played it????
Anyway back on topic - I'm about half way thru Crysis - I didn't like it at first because I had just finished COD4 and was comparing it to that. The joy of Crysis comes from the firefights. If you've got it set to easy - you're missing out. Get creative like Mr BoJangles suggests. Let them chase you into a portable cabin and then chuck a grenade out the door when they've all come close. Go prone under a building and shoot their feet. Or just go from cover to cover using invisibilty and sneak passed them. Use speed skill to run straight passed the badies and hi-jack a hummer and then mow them down with the 50 calibre. The possibilities are endless. NOW, think about firefights in FEAR or COD - boring.... (well not boring in COD4 but you know what I mean)
