Sooo... Crysis is a system hog that can only be fully enjoyed on high end comps, cuz on low-medium end it'll only look as good as QW, which isn't anywhere near as good as the high end graphics for which Crysis is loved so much?

Or did I get it all wrong :P

Dumbest thread of the week, keep it up. Them Crysis screens look like Far Cry completly and the only thing worth noting in the Crysisscreen is the high polygon Rifle. Quake wars looks good in motion and for the you to compare a multiplayer game with HUGE maps and tons of players to sp is simply ignorant by all means. OoSuperMarioO
Wow that screenshot of Crysis looks worse than Farcry. I wouldnt even know it was Crysis had it not be labeled. Crysis looks nothing like that on my PC.

Far Cry maxed looks a lot better then crysis on low, and crysis on low runs like crap on a comp that can max far cry with ease.mimic-Denmark

newsflash, there's more going on in the game than just graphics and there are limits to how much you can scale stuff

Well then, crytek said if you could max out far cry with ease then you would have no problem running crysis. And thats a huge load of BS.

That is totally unfair to Crysis it looks nothing like that on a real PC...

Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 CPU
WD Raptor HDD
700 watt PSU
XFX 8800 GTX GPU
2 GB Crucial ballistics RAM
ASUS P5N32 E SLI MB
Audigy 2 soundblaster w/optical to reciever
Running on Vista 32-bit

Come out and play!

You do realize own1xon that ET QW is also a huge environment like Crysis... heard of the megatexture they use for their game? Look in to it.

Has anyone noticed that the gap between low and medium settings in Crysis is larger than the gap between medium and high, or high and very high?

I was disappointed when ET:QW on low didn't look as good or run as well as Wolf:ET on high.

Also, you need a UPS for your rig... your surge protector wont do jack if you get brown outs...

I find it funny that Crysis with a 6600 looks better than STALKER with an 8800...but do you hear anyone complain about that? nope

What a lame topic no offence ! .... & if you want to compare the games in graphics .... because i don't know why you only care abouyt graphics more than gameplay & story ..... at least compare it to STALKER ... & i personally still prefer STALKER a total unliniar game with mroe than 7 endings ...i have manged to find 3 .... the 1st FPS with modifiable weapons & real RPG settings & a challenging FPS evan on easy ....just 2 blows from a mosnter & you are down .....not to mention the realistic colours , texturesr & dark sppoosy enviroments still can provide a much more greater thrill tahn CRYSIS !

Stalker is not as demanding as crysis is. I played stalker on my 7600 GT with the hight lighting on, took some of the grass density away so my cpu could keep up and BAM it ran great and looked awesome, i was just missing some grass density on the ground. Crysis i cant run on low and get a smooth framerate.

hey beck - crysis will be 100 times the game stalker was....stalker sucked! Maxx it out on 8800 ultras and it ran like crap but looked HOORRRRIIIBBBBBLLLEEEE! Atleast if you max out crysis and it runs like crap you are looking at pictures of a rich guys vacation.....besides that crysis runs just fine on modern hardware, modern meaning c2d, 3 gigs and a gtx....

I don't really see the point of this thread ..other than surprise surprise Crysis is running on a 6600? Is it even GT? Anyway, I had a 6600GT a while back and Stalker looked and ran a lot better than ET:QW ..and most likely Crysis too.
