Crysis + your rig

So tell me which setting's you are playing Crysis ?

i'm playing Everything In High + 2X AA @ 1024x768 resolution

everything at high at 1280X1024. cant remember if im using AA or not. i get about 45FPS in the benchmarks.

thats the demo though...still need to get the game.

1280x720, got everything on High except post proccessing, but I went ahead and voted 'everything High'. I'm surprised that someone has voted 'everything ver high'...must be a pretty slideshow though :P.

oh yeah, I don't know what settings I have on AF and I know have no AA on.

4gigs DDR2, 8800 GTS, some intel Pentium D 2.6MHZ proccessor, it's a dual core, so it get's the job done.

No SLI or anything like that.

I have it all on high at 1280 x 1024. But I'm using a custom autoexec file that enables sunbeams, POM, and edge AA. It looks fantastic. framerate is at the top, and that's what it generally runs at most of the time.

Mostly Medium @ 12X7, no AA/AF

Still playing with the settings though.

Everything in high except Post Processing, no AA. 1680x1050

Rig: E6600, 8800 GTS (640), and two gigs of ram.

It preforms at like 20-25 FPS for the most part.

I bought the game but i'm not playing it, i'm waiting for a new gen of graphics card... It plays fine sometimes on high but it just breaks down to the low teens and I don't want that... X2 4200+, 3 gigs of ram, 8800 gts 320mb (which i got the 640mb version...)usule

woops, i meant I WISH i got the 640 mb version...

1280*1024, using custom settings, with effects set between medium and very high (to get some of the DirectX10 effects). Plays around 30-40fps on a Core2 6400, 8800gts 640mb, 2gigs 667 ram, XP OS.

1280*1024, all high. 25-33fps (seams a bit low Vista maybe?)

E6400 @ stock, BFG 8800GT OC, 3GbB DDR 2 533MHz

I'm getting 20-35 FPS, Everything in High + 2X AA. 25 in Average.

Everything @ Very High, 12-18 FPS & 15 in Average.

My graphic card @ stock speed.

I've OC my graphic card to 600/1500/1800.

This is GPU Benchmark

Average is 35FPS (2X AA & everything in High @ 1024x768 resolution)

Max is 42FPS & Min is 10FPS

Max is 45FPS & Min is 12FPS

I played with everything on high at 1600x1200.

I'm using completely tweaked settings and 1024 x 768 getting between 30-50 fps

everything on high, windows xp, 4xaa and 8xaf at 1280x1024. Runs great until last boss battle, i had to turn aa off at this point as fps dropped alot.

my rig E6750, 2g ram , 8800 gts. 640mb.

All settings high ( DX10 mod )

Now for FPS...

FRAPS is telling me I'm only getting 20 to 30...but usually 20ish...using the in game FPS counter I get a few more fps..yet it feels like 40+ ish....fluid and smooth...running or fighting many enemies causes no hick ups or slowdowns..

But it sure doesnt feel that low...in games like FEAR, STALKER, GoWetc...when your getting 20 fps...it shows! There is lag, slowness, texture distortion..sluggish turning, firing, aiming etc. (Of course I don't get such low fps in those games anymore with my new rig...but I used to on my old one..)

But not Crysis...I don't know it's the motion blur effect thats doing something...but if you were in my house looking over my shoulder..you would say "No way is that running at 20 fps..!"

Believe me I'm not trying to fool myself here into thinking it runs better then it really does...I just don't believe FRAPS

FRAPS on other games works fine...

I do get some choppiness during the last boss battle...you know where your fighting that big kleenex box..! ( Ugh..how lame was that fight..?!)

But other battles where there are many enemies and vehicles don't move the fps that much..one or two and you still can't tell...!!!

Lowering AA does nothing..

Lower resolution makes my fps jump to like 40 ( 12x10)

But I'm just fine playing it at 16x10 ...

I just turned fraps off and played the game...

I don't care if anyone believes me or not...I'm very happy with my rigs performance.

Very High all settings. Vista Ultimate 32bit Quad Extreme QX9650 @ 3.33, 4gb ram, MSI 8800GTX Ultra. Fraps 33to 66 average. No tweaks or modifications. omarsimpson

im jealous :) can't wait until I can play the game at max settings. Maybe in a couple years when I upgrade.
