Ok, im really really confused...Basically I have a new-ish nvidia 9600 gt graphics card, and yet I run cs 1.6 with fps all over the place.. It usually drops when there are a few players around near me in the map, but its unacceptable, should be running easily at 100 fps constant. I cant figure it out, i have it at 800x600, disabled v-sync, lowered nvidia settings to performance level, disabled other settings i dont need, yet its still dropping? I have custom weapon skins, but they look fairly low-poly so I cant see them changing it much at all. Help please

Try updating your drivers.

It might be too obvious of a suggestion, but make sure your in your options menu, you have the game running in OpenGL or DirectX, and NOT Software.
