I'd like to correct you my friend. In 2004 Relic released Dawn of War 1, 3 years later they made COH. If you played the first DOW you will notice that identical strategic point system is present in COH. The main thing that makes these games different is the Sci-Fi and WW2 generes. Personally i like both titles, however i find DOW2 more addicting xD

It's not identical. In CoH every strategic point isn't the same, some are more important than others, like a high fuel or ammunitions point. And every strategic point controls a 'territory'. To have any benefit of controlling a stretigic point, that territory needs to be linked up to your HQ through other territories. So, in CoH you have to worry about keeping your supply lines open, and taking the important points.
In DoW1 you lose a point, oh well we get a slightly less req. rate.
I actually liked the DoW1 games, much more than DoW2 anyway, DoW1 was different - massive armies, crazy elite units, and a friggen baneblade - that's why I really liked it. When the DoW2 beta came out, while I played it I just felt like "meh, I could just be playing CoH, and not this 'consolized' garbage".
I can see why many people will like DoW2 though. Its just after playing CoH for a long while, like long enough to get top 30 in 2v2 automatch, DoW2 just feels too dumbed down to play.
Again, I'm not saying DoW2 is bad, it's just terrible compared to CoH.
