I have to admit, the graphics are on par with RL. So is the AI.

dawn of war all the way, the combat is so hectic and brutal - a friend and i play coop vs 5 hard ork ais, and the vastness of the swarms is awesome, and the slaughter is glorious

I liked CoH more. DoW felt extremely unbalanced. Im aware that they tweaked the balance up alot in future expansions, but the first one left me with a slightly sour taste in my mouth.

although they are from the same developer.. i HATED DOW and loved COH. I tried DOW and i dont see what other peaple like in it...i realy dont:!

Dawn Of War + WA & DC for me. I don't like a lot the games ambiented in the WWII -except RTCW-, and even if the gameplay in CoH is more sophisticated and evolutinated than in DoW,He as less options/countries. I love mi Chaos squads in DoW and the flow of the game, with all theseinfrantry reinformements by fly; also, Panzer and Shermans are nothing compared to ride Defilers, Predators, etc..

It's true that CoH is much better balanced, but open your eyes guys: CoH has 2 bands and DoW 7, it's a hell to perfectly balance 7 razes in all of the Tiers and for all of the maps.

Awaiting for a DoW II with Tyranids, is all that I can say...

Homeworld 2!

It's a tough call really, but I enjoyed Company of Heroes more. Relic refined the Dawn of War formula and added more uses of cover and fully destructible environments, among many other things. The combat is just much more frenetic in Company of Heroes, your troops screaming while pinned by German infantry makes for some chilling and intense moments. Also, you gotta love the artillery backup.

A while back (before CoH) I picked up the Dawn of War gold pack edition (or whatever it's called - I don't have it here, letting my little brother borrow it), had the normal game plus the expansion in it. I played my way through the normal game and not once did it feel like it offered a challange - and I usually struggle to some extent with RTS games. I blew through the original game so fast that it bored me and I tried and tried to get into the expansion, but it was just as boring and just as easy.

I played CoH and I found the difficulty to be much more of a challange and I felt the game was much better overall. The AI is better, the objectives are more entertaining to obtain and hold, and so on and so on.

I vote CoH.

Does CoH run on Vista?, i tried the demo and it wouldnt start. i chose DoW, orcs with machines guns? that's just inspired.

Works fine well better than fine on my comp with Vista.

Both games are incredible. If I HAD to pick though...
