Alright so I understand you can play with a gaming controller rather than a mouse and a keyboard. Can you use any controller? (I.E. xbox 360?) Or is it strictly PS3 controllers? And how does chat function work when doing so? Voice chat only?

Chat (txt chat) is useless when I finished beta before it was just released....and I've heard it still is and needs to be fixed. I had no issues playing with KB and Mouse though. I think if you play with controller on PvP on PC you are gonna get owned....
I tried plugging in my 360 controller but it didn't want to detect the analog sticks.. I never bothered trying to figure it out, but I should. Would be nice to sit back and play this game on my TV.

The only benefits of mouse and keyboard are - precise mouse aiming, tons of mappable keys on the keyboard. DC Universe only uses the mouse for camera control, and you only have 8 hotbar abilities at your disposal at any given time, which can easily be mapped to a controller. I don't think there's really any benefit to m/kb here.

Yeah the game recognizes the 360 controller and swithches over the tips and prompts to 360 buttons. It makes the game alot better in my opinion since its a button masher.
