Dead space 2 is currently in development, they also planed a 3rd and a movie adaption comming soon
The "soon" kinda scares me, is it Uwe Boll?
NOPE

Same here it was such an amzing game but it really lacked replayability, i dont really feel like replaying it.dakan45
i totally agree with you. If there's a list of games that everyone must play then this is definitely in it. I wouldn't play it more than once though, unless there was some new content that meant you could play it in a totally different way.

With different acheivements it allows you to want to replay the game and don't forget this is also coming for the Xbox 360/PS3.

Achievements don't produce replayability and it coming on Xbox and PS is irrelevant.I hope they spend time getting the pc controls right this time, the first one has been sat there unplayed since I bought it, I just can't bring myself to use a controller for aiming. I game on the pc so that I don't have to use those unresponsive awkward innacurate fisher price toys :D
Great great great news thanks m8!
One of my favorite horror games ever dead space, really brought out that outer space horror concept that many movies are built around heck I thought it was adapted around many of them, a movie of this game wouldn't be so far
Sounds great can't wait to play on hands dead space 2 and 3
I hope they make the game more difficult. It felt like a breeze and I didn't get to see most of the cool death animations =(
I also doubt we will get to play Issac again. He'll probably be a necormorph in the sequel.
this is kind of milking the franchise.i hate such movie adaptations,i mean lets face it,its pointless to make dead space a movie because how many space-aliens movies are out there?GazaAliyeah, I mean Pandorum (which is great, BTW) JUST came out, they're probably announcing it now to ride off its success. I never played Dead Space, although it seemed Darn Good, I'll probably take a look at the sequel, but we just don't need a movie adaptation. We just don't.
Another thing is why i cant play on a higher difficulity after i complete the game, but i can start a new round with my current equipment at the same difficulity i completed the game? I mean whats the point? It will be better to play on a higher difficulity and buy whatever weapons i didnt use in my first playtrough, just like RE4dakan45Uh, because if you played the hard difficulty with your guns already upgraded then it wouldn't be hard anymore. Resident Evil 5 on professional was a complete joke with unlimited ammo unlocked for all my guns including the rocket launcher. The way it is in Dead Space is much more entertaining to me.
That was the prequel to the first game.... good movie, awesome game...This one is already out:

I know what you mean, the game was so awesome but unlike re4 it was so easy that i didnt bother to replay it for extra challenge.I hope they make the game more difficult. It felt like a breeze and I didn't get to see most of the cool death animations =(

Loved the game Dead Space .. but i concur with the sentiment that it lacks replayability
I bought the game last year for halloween .. which I always do as a matter of tradition .. buying a monster slash horror something type game .. this year will be Borderlands.
But I figure if I ever lack a good game to buy during some up and coming halloween .. Dead Space would be right back up there as something to play again to get into the halloween scary mood of things.
I enjoyed all the extra avenues of Dead Space ././ the comics, animated comics, animated movie, the game itself, and the noknownsurvivors.com website.
I actually watched that a while back. It's got me really interested in buying the game. I want to see what happens next =)This one is already out:

Crap... I'd assumed that stuff was to play on at least the next difficulty up.. (haven't tried because the game scares the crap out of me stil :(
But now I know its totally pointless :/
