It'll still be relatively new by Christmas. I wouldn't expect to see this game go below $30 until next summer at the soonest.
It's $30 on amazon which I think is cheaper, and $36 for the augmented edition

Out of those 3, only Skyrim activates on Steam.I just double checked and you cant get a digital download for skyrim on Amazon, I guess its a Steam exclusive.

It's not a Steam exclusive but it is a Steamworks game. Direct2drive.com has Skyrim digital download as well. And all retail versions must be activated on Steam. Either way, Steam steam steam! haha :)

I agree. The gameplay if anything gives you the freedom to choose how you want to play. That alone gives the gameplay some dynamic feeling to it. I just don't know how that could be boring. But to each their own, even though I hate saying that sometimes..
Just wait till they release GOTY edition with all the DLCs, ye it may take a year or so but w.e. its not like theres no other tons of games out there to play at the moment.
