[QUOTE="snared04"]

[QUOTE="Roland123_basic"] uh.... both world of warcraft AND starcraft 2 were definitely DELAYED... SC2 was delayed 6 months for further beta testing.... WOW was delayed atleast 3 times officially, totaling over a year in delays....tutt3r

First of all, child, this game has already been delayed many, many, many, many times. So your magical equation involving the impossibility of a release prior to a delay has already been satisfied, since this game has been delayed over and over again.

Second of all, the link I quoted IS THE OFFICIAL WBESITE OF THE GAME DEVELOPER, AND IT DOES NOT INCLUDE A RELEASE DATE. SOOOOO... it is a rumor at this point. KK thx, that argument is over.

Next, the NEW CEO OF ACTIVISION BLIZARD (Yes,it changed hands, you might have read about it? Hmm, guess not.) Already stated that they plan on releasing 2 (1+1) titles per year. So, hmm.. let's think here.... Can't be the next WoW expac, because they have NEVER been released less than a year apart. So even if there is a Starcraft 2 expansion headed our way, that leaves Diablo III as the other to be released.

Quit embarassing yourself, find another thread to troll.

by calling the last poster a "kid" you pretty much ensured that everything you said has been reduced to zero credibility. there is no need for name calling. I really am lost as far as what point you are making in this thread. Your original post said that you expect Diablo III by the end of the year, and yet with your link you clearly showed that no release date has been announced. So everything you have said is pure speculation, however you went ahead and belittled the second poster who made the claim of a december release date as being only a rumor. The thing is a lot of the delays that blizzard has comes after they announce the release date, and seeing as how a speculated relase time has yet to be announced (i.e. winter of 2011) then there is little hope to be had so far. Even if there is a new CEO of activision blizzard who makes such claims, (probably only to make shareholders happy) there is no garaunteed everything will follow through. Now I share the same sentiment that I really do wish Diablo III comes out soon, as I too have been waiting. However I wish you would calm down and stop attacking other people. Just wait for official information to be released.

I said I believed it to be very probable based on everything that has been said. And based on that, hope is rekindled.

The second poster, had you bothered to read, confirmed that there was a clear, established release date, which there is incontrovertibly not. I linked that link to prove that.

As to Roland, he just swoops in and makes some asinine claim as if he knows, better than anyone else, and beyond a doubt, that it will NOT be released this year.

My point, since you seemed confused, is that the rumor mill is, for once, agreed that Diablo III is in our future, and probably this year.

i know beyond a doubt that it will not be released this year, based on past experience with blizzards releases. get over it. like i said, feel free to quote me on it in your sig... your condescending remarks already shot your credibility out the window, so please continue if you like. tutt3r is correct. blizzard delays typically come after an announced date has arrived... or atleast an announced window. there currently is no window/ there is currently a speculated window of winter 2011. the chances of the game coming out this year are so small they are insignificant.

I don't understand the hype behind it. The third game really doesn't look to do anything super great or new. *Shrugs* It's Starcraft 2 all over again, I suppose.

THA-TODD-BEAST

It's Diablo 3 for CHRIST's SAKE !!! lol....

A game doesn't have to do something new or super great to be fun and GREAT.... look at SC2 like you said, it just improved on itself.

If you don't play it, your loss I guess...

Are you implying that I should like the sequel because its so much like the first one? The question is the answer my friend.

Game-fu

So you don't like starcraf I anymore?

Are you going somewhere with this? Just get to the point.

If it is so close to the first one that you don't like it, that you also do not like number 1.

Here's the deal. You have nothing to do with the production of the game, YOU DO NOT KNOW anything. You are guessing and guessing, even it if is an educated guess, still is not fact, which you are pretending to have.

Beyond that, you can't delay a game if you do not give a release date. So none of their games have been delayed as they don't give a release date until it is already set in stone.

Right, another one of those gamers that thinks if a game doesn't innovate or bring something new, then it sucks.... pleaseeee.....

Didn't you review a few different editions of the Madden Game, and games similar? (giving them 9.1 score)

By your standards then ALL Madden games suck, and shouldn't be played cause they definately don't bring anything new and are always the same each year...?

Sorry, but i'm fairly certain that if you could divide up all parts equally, there would be more StarCraft 1 in StarCraft II than anything new brought to the table. I own the game and I haven't seen anything that made it dramatically different than the first one. But, i'm not about to sit here and argue with a couple of fanboys all night long. Respect other people's opinions or find enough confidence in your own that you don't have to question everyone else.

I think it will be pushed back. SC2 was originally slated for Summer 2009, but pushed back to Summer 2010. I remember the announcements they had made about beta starting in early spring for Summer 09. That year felt very long. Luckily, I got into beta so I got a taste of the game early, but it was still a long wait. Blizzard said they will also do a multiplayer beta for D3, which means they need around 5-6 months before release for testing. We will know if D3 is delayed depending on when the beta starts. So basically if there's no beta by the end of summer this year, the game is not coming out until next year, probably a year delay. (SC2 Expansion #1 is planned for early 2012.)

Actually, not to de-rail the main topic at hand, the Madden games on Sega Genesis were drastically different each year up until '96 or '97. It was hardly the same thing every year like what we have today.

Diablo 3 is looking fantastic in my humble opinion. There's many improvements and innovations to the Diablo formula. Skill runes, for instance, sound totally awesome and is something that really innovates. Aside from just statistical improvements/customization, we now have the ability to radically change the way skills are used. This to me is really what I am most excited about in D3. There's other improvements and additions that sound cool too...like the smith progression, destructable environments, ect ect.

We of course all know it's getting a fresh coat of paint, but for me it's more about how they are applying the paint. Watch some of the videos covering all the different death animations that each and every enemy will have now based on element type, crits, spell/skill, and other factors.

Anyways, who cares if a few people are sour and don't like what Blizzard is doing with the game. For the other 98.56% of folks it will most likely be a great game and millions are going to go ape **** when it's finally released...myself included :D

Leonard Boyarsky ex Troika and Interplay and Kevin Martens ex Bioware , as the lead what they shown by now looks good. The worlds, classes and the crafting system to.

Not sure that the game will make it this year, but there is always hope.

The reason it is as popular as it is is because it is as similar as it is to starcraft 1.

And now, wow is not warcraft. It takes the lore from warcraft and goes with it, but it is an entirely different user base.
