This was a bit too LOTR for the Diablo franchise.

Diablo series - epic cinematics, but epic gameplay? no, not at all. Rather boring if you ask me.

I could only stomach Diablo 1 because it was fresh at the time, I gave up like 2-3 times at the swamp in Diablo 2 with 3 different classes. Couldn't bring myself to continue because it was so boring and dull.

yeah, while I enjoyed the diablo series, I don't love them. After the initial 4-5 hours of killing x number of monsters, the novelty wore off. Some people here act like it's a sin to say THAT. But I tell them to ^%^ off

If only dark soul showed up on pc...............now that's a real dungeon crawler.

People play MMO:s for years and years and they don't really have great game-play, but I guess whatever floats ones boat.

Have they brought this game into the modern age, or is it still just a top down view (which is old and outdated). It would be nice to have an OTS view to switch to.topsemag55

They tried it with hellgate london and the 3d version bombed..It just didnt feel like hack and slash game..These types of games are better off in 2d..

Naw, I am just kidding, Diablo III is going to be awesome, its my most anticipated game in years literally! My gf and I both getting copies. Though we are seriously thinking of one of those copies be the collector's edition. (Mainly for the Soundtrack) Unless they sell the soundtrack seperately after the launch of the game for under $20. Though I would like to know this information before hand, because its the only game I am gonna get at launch, (even pre-order) First pre-order in 4 years.

I am also looking forward to TOR, but We aren't getting it until atleast January sometime. If Diablo III is coming out anytime near then, we will hold off on TOR, we aren't gonna pay for TOR when we are gonna be spending most of our time on DIII.

.. Diablo is not a WRPG genre.. Its a hack n slash genre created by the Diablo series itself.. The isometric view is a defining characteristic of this..
