Did you eventually get Modern Warfare 2 on PC?

I got it in a AMD motherboard and CPU bundle at NCIX and I'll pick up the voucher on Tuesday because its backordered. Also got City of Heroes/Villains as well for free with the bundle. Did any of you get it? I wouldn't have bought it at the price its being sold at though.

nope. Altho it is not a pride thing for me... I did not get MW1 either ;) norworld at wareither (altho World at war did peak my curiosity).

to put it simple, I never liked the CoD series very much, felt too scriptet, and too restrictive, even compared to other series such as HL.

Who knows? I might have liked the new CoD games, but Activision did irk me enough for me to think" naa untill they become human, Ill pass"

Sadly, i went out and bought it on release day. I enjoyed it at the start, but then the regret started. It just feels somewhat unfinished, and it also feels like it has balance issues which were never fixed. But the thing that annoys me the most is the matchmaking system. It's so buggy that it's often difficult to even get into a game. I often find myself flying in and out of different server lobbys.

Nope. Maybe when its 20 bucks. I'm not as taken with the series as most. I'm not huge into the multiplayer (which they hosed anyway), and the on-rails single player campaign is kind of tedious for me after playing open world stuff like STALKER and Crysis.

Nope, would never support a company like IW. They don't support us at all. Never thought about buying it, and never will. Expecially seeing all the problems it has.

No. I didn't get it and won't ever get it. The arcade-type style that COD has gone in recent years has turned me off of the series. It makes me sad because the first COD was one of my favorite games to ever be released.

Yeah.. I bought it on 360 first but wanted to see what it was like on PC, plus I had a couple friends playing on it. Never played it as much as the 360 version, but it was still fun. Matchmaking sucks and the lack of dedicated servers can be a nuisance, but it's still a fun game either way.

I got it as a christmas present. Turned out to be much better than I thought.

I got it. Played it for a long time. then the glitching came. then the matches started getting laggier. Then Full 70 hacks came about. Then the Model akimbo discovery was found..... THEN the aimbots took over.....Then 'knifing' came into existance.....then Unlimited rocket launchers were invented....Then winning players were given more tools for utterly destroying the other team (Which were tools that made that destruction FASTER), Then Camping became big....then ACR-only matches came into being......

UGH! The game had so many mistakes once you played it for a while, its hard not to wonder if you could find this in your local arcade....... It gave me some fun, but also left me with a 40 dollar hole in my pocket, which I am so not proud of....

Wish i skipped this game like i did WaW and COD3 and just read up online what happened to Captain price....

Bought it on steam and just downloaded the multiplayer half. I will always come back and play it in between games, it will be around for years.

I won't buy it until it drops to $39.99 or below.. and maybe not even then. The prices are getting out of hand.

nope. i borrowed mw1 and only played the multiplayer (im a multiplayer kind of guy, at last when it comes to shooters) and i found it kind of dull, repetitive, mindless, etc. Not to say most shooters arent like this, but it was fun for a little while then just got really boring. I logged in at least a 100 hours into tf2 and at least 50 into battlefield 2 before i quit. Probably more. but i gave up on modern warfare in maybe 10-15ish hours, so i probably wont pick up the sequel (especially after playing it with my friends on consoles and liking it even less.)

On the other hand when you have dedicated servers and think nothing can stop you..... this happens!! :(

Ahh gamming is so unreliable and messed up nowadays, i expect more games not having dedicated servers in the future. But seriously, what the hell? In the past dedicated servers worked just fine.
