Got a quick queston to ask. What is the difference between a GTX 560 and GTX 560 Ti ?

GTX560 Ti = GTX460 GTX560 = GTX460 SE ________________________ GTX560 Ti = 384 shader cores GTX560 = 336 shader coresSilicel1
No. A GTX 560 Ti is the only card out of those mentioned that has 384 cores. It's the fastest of the group, sometimes by a pretty good margin. The GTX 460 is NOT equal to a 560 Ti. An overclocked GTX 460 1GB (256-bit version) can equal or slightly surpass a vanilla GTX 560. The GTX 460 1GB and 768mb cards (non-SE) have 336 cores.

Well then what did you mean?
A gtx 460SE which is a dumbed down 460 that how it compares 560 to the Ti one. That's pretty much what I figured you meant. I would personally have found your post to be confusing and misleading without more explanation unless I knew better... especially considering Nvidia's habit of releasing a new series of cards that sometimes literally are exactly equal to the last series. Like the 9800gt and 8800gt, etc..
Ive seen no reason to upgrade my SSC+ 460...But im guessing your a BF3 fan..Mine runs it ok on high(not ultra:( ) @ 1080p...What speed are you running that 460 at?...Mine runs neck and neck with a 560ti 384 vanilla @910mhz..Im guessing that MSI can come close to that...Guess it just depends if you are ok with just a few games running on high instead of ultra.I have a 460 right now, so if I upgrade to a 560 I won't see much of a performance increase? I'll just wait for a 660 or maybe 670.

I just have it set to the factory overclock and I can run BF3 fine at high, but it gets kinda choppy at ultra. I really like my 460, but I think it would be nice to be able to max all the games I have, especially Skyrim. I have a bunch of mods installed that make it look amazing, but it gets really choppy sometimes and can't stand it, so I thought it would be nice to go a step up to a 560 or something similar. But I mine as well wait for the 660, because I have heard a few people say it's being released soon. I would buy a 680, but it's kinda pricey, so I'd rather stick to a mid range card.[QUOTE="KABCOOL"]

Around 250-300$[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"][QUOTE="KABCOOL"] I just have it set to the factory overclock and I can run BF3 fine at high, but it gets kinda choppy at ultra. Around 250-300$You might be able to afford a GTX 570, or a heavily factory overclocked 560 Ti, which would be on the same performance level. A 7850 would be right in your price range too. All of those are a decent upgrade from your card.
I would wait for the mid ranged 6 series card. It won't be that much longer until release. The 560 and 560 ti won't give you that big of a performance boost. It wouldn't be worth the money.
Why not just buy a 6870 for $120 on ebay?I have a 460 right now, so if I upgrade to a 560 I won't see much of a performance increase? I'll just wait for a 660 or maybe 670.

to see decent improvements over a gtx460 i would suggest nothing less of an Amd 7870 . Much faster than gtx570 ( almost as fast as gtx580 ) and consumes less power even from gtx570 7850 is also great but imo 230-240 to see 25-30% improvement not worth it adamosmaki
I don't think a card can be "much faster" than a GTX 570 while still being slower than a GTX 580. There isn't that big of a performance gap between those 2 cards. According to the comprehensive techpowerup review, it's closer in performance to a 570 than a 580. Not to mention that it costs $30 to $50 more than a 570. The 570 is the better buy if you have a decent PSU.
