Difference in HDMI Cables ?

I want only the best for my blu-ray ps3 player to tv connection but why are there so many choices of HDMI Cables ? What is the best cable to use for connecting from for example a PS3 to the HDTV ? Is it monster HDMI cable ? What specs to look for on HDMI Cables ? I see they transfer sound too ? Does anyone here know ? Thanks for your time.

Or for 2 bucks. I scored an awesome amazon deal for a couple HDMI ones that cost me 2 bucks each. They aren't very long (12 feet I think) but that is all I need and they work wonderfully.

AWG(gauge) is the thickness of the wire. 24AWG is the size of a standard pinky finger.

24AWG (American Wire Gauge) refers to the diameter of the individual conductors contained inside the cable, not the overall cable thickness.

24 gauge wire is .0201 inches in diameter, slightly smaller than a standard pinky finger.
