Dirt 2 is pretty sweet.

Anyone try the demo yet? The game ran wonderfully on my PC, with no dips at all. The driving is a good improvement over the original too, and have more weight to them. I might pick this up soon.

Not only was the game fun to look at, but I was having a blase with the racing.

Awesome indeed, seen like it has been pretty well optimized. One can clearly see that they've mademany improvments in the engine if you compare with GRID. Running with a poor 2x2.1ghz processor and a 4850 on around 25fps on 1440x900/4xaa

Now I wait for a GRID 2...

I rented it for 360 and it was good fun no doubt, but not a game I would buy.

I enjoyed it, but I prefer sim racers like Forza or the old colin mcrane racers.

Its definatly the best arcade racer in ages though I must say!

The graphics are pretty amazing in some spots, same with the level design of some of em.

Unfortunately, my favorite car racer is Project Gotham(Really wish this series came to PC). It's hard to enjoy car racers after playing Project Gotham games, especially online.

There also needs to be more racers like F-Zero -By far the best racer-.

Outstanding product. The whole game has great presentation with the immersive menu system, graphics are beautifully excellent, performance is fast and feels well optimized, and racing has fun action and good variety. 9.4/10

There are somethings I'd change but they are mostly nit picking. Codemasters did a nice job on this game and I hope many people support this PC product by buying it. Lots of pack in game and features for $40 folks.

I like the game alot too. Not many rally off road racers (in fact I think Codemasters makes the only ones, not that observant of racing games). The Evo X steering however, is an outright blasphemy. I drive and own one and I don't remember the steering getting all clunky and heavy like that. And I dislike the Subaru worship the game presents.

This game starts to get even better once you level up the cars to Pro or AllStar level. They grip and handle so much better.

I love how Codemasters haven't abandoned rally racing. I have fond memories of Colin Mcrae 2003 and 2005.

Rally is some of the most fun pure racing there is. Track racing games with lots of cars on track and online play and such are pretty fun too, but for pure racing pleasure, nothing beats rally and the feeling of being out of control :D
