Cool trailer. I played the demo of Dirt 2 and had a lot of fun with it, but I never picked it up because of other games at the time. Does anyone use a steering wheel for these games?

Yeah thats what I figured. I might pick one up sometime. I used to play NFS Porsche Unleashed with one, and it was a blast.

I don't know what more they can do... so far just looks like more DiRT2. Needs more GRiD, the perfect simarcade racer.

I think it's an insult to real rally racing and the 'Colin McRae's' name.

Tough to be an insult to rally racing and the CMR name when this game is advertised as an arcade rally game and it doesn't even use the CMR name....it's Dirt 3, it does revolve around Colin more or less but the "Dirt" series isn't called CMR Dirt 1/2/3 because it's not a more realistic rally game, the last CMR game was 05.

I don't think so - they've made arcade sim racer that looks and plays excellent.

Awesome looking trailer but I didn't like the feel of the cars in Dirt 2 so I'll probably skip it.

His name is on the cover but not once did Codemasters call it CMR Dirt, because they don't want to create confusion since this is not part of the same series. Anyway the Dirt series is the best rally series ever created so far (being arcade doesn't make it less os a great game, you don't rate a game based on it being arcade or simulator), it's nothing shameful. What happened to Clancy's name is shameful.

it sure use the name but as you see above very small TM - since no one offended and Codemasters have been allowed to use it's name for advertisement, it's all happy and joy :P

The gameplay portion is fine. It's the part where it's a Travis Pastrana, Dave Mirra, and X-Games. Also, what the hell was with the explosion? That was completely out of place.

Dirt 2 was great, but I only played the Rally and Trailblazer events, everything else sucked especially those stupid buggys. I'm also looking forward to F1 2010 which uses the same engine.

Sweet they are adding weather effects to Dirt! But what was up the oversized trailer at the end? I hope nothing like that makes it into the game.

I always had an idea of a way of building a device to allow custom configurations of how the brain can manipulate the keys and axis. It could allow setups such as locking the brain to only utilize the x and y axis to replace the default wasd for character movement while still maintaining synergy with the mouse and keyboard. It would be marvelous!

I was never into racing games until a friend suggested using a steering wheel, and I swear there is nothing better than feeling the steering wheel vibrate when you're going over cobblestones or a wooden bridge. It is simply amazing.
