Dirty Bomb closed beta

Anyone interested? I just got an email with 3 keys, alghouth I never signed up :/. So, I'm giving away 2 keys.

If there's anyone in here already playing this I'd like to know what it's like.

Just played it and it's surprisingly good, way better than I thought it was going to be. I had 160 ping and the netcode compensation is really good. Can quickscope people consistently and I didn't really feel any of the lag much. Can't post a video due to the NDA though, but I'd recommend giving a chance.

I haven't played with these settings yet, but by default I noticed onethreadframelag=true

You definitely want to turn that to false. I haven't played with it set to false yet, but all UE3 games with that set to TRUE have a noticeable amount of input lag.

I hadn't heard about this game. Thanks for the heads up. I just signed up for the beta on their site. Hopefully I can get in.

@The_Animator420: No need to wait, I'll PM you a key. I know my friends wouldn't want it anyway, not sure if I'll have the time to play it, eather. First impression is rather good, tho.

The moment I saw Nexon involved in this project I lost interest ... nothing good comes up in the long run when those koreans are involved (I didn't say it to sound racist, but point out the fact that NONE of the korean F2P business models have ever been fair). At most 2-3 days worth of time. I feel sad for SDG ... and their new baby :(

What type of game is it? FPS?

It's made by Splash Damage, they've made a lot of these kinds of games.

I think they did Quake Wars, which I loved.

They did. They also did Enemy Territory and Brink. Brink wasn't that good from what I heard, but they sure know how to make class based shooters.

This literally tells me nothing. I did search though and the game is f2p shooter made by the Brink dev team. Didn't Brink flop?

Flopped hard.

But these are the same guys that did Enemy Territory (quake wars and RTCW variety) both seem to have huge proponents

I have to say though, that the name itself is pretty terrible.

The name is really dumb, looking it up you are just going to get flagged by the NSA and nothing related to the game.
