I'm not sure if this question is compeltely out of the league of Gamespotters, but I know there are some smart ones out there and they post quickly.
I was just trying to mount an ISO file on a CD, so I did... then whe I had the CD loaded it did nothing, so I went to my DVD drive where it was and clicked UNMOUNT. Now I'm stuck in an unfortunate situation. Whenever I try and open up my CD drives on my computer, it says that there is no disk loaded and ejects my disk.
how can I go about fixing this?

I'm not sure I understand you. You are trying to burn the ISO to a disk? Or you are trying to mount the ISO on a virtual drive? If it's on a virtual drive, you may try uninstalling the virtual drive software you've got installed, whatever it is. Also, have you tried restarting your computer? I know it sounds obvious, but sometimes that can fix a lot of issues.

If you go into add/remove hardware, and remove the CD drive (aka uninstall), then reboot and reinstall the drivers, will it work?
