Do cheap gaming laptops exsist?

Hello everyone,

I know computers would be the way to go for my gaming needs but I just don't like sitting in front of a computer I'd prefer to be a little more relaxed so I want to get a gaming laptop , only problem is are they all so expensive?

I've been looking at a few laptops and sites listing laptops looking into gpu mainly as I'm well aware of everything else apart from gpus in laptops if there top notch or some rubbish, and the ones that I know of to have gpus that I know are brilliant are over 1,000+ dollars!

I'm not looking to buy a laptop that can play say crysis on max settings, I'm looking for a laptop that can play today games and hopefully last two years tops at medium setting, but not prepare to pay more than 1,000 dollars as I'm not rich.

I will most likely repost this thread next year as that's the year I'm trying to hold off until, as hopefully I'll be heading to the US to study.

However 1,000 dollars to spend on a laptop it could be so much easier to buy a 360.

How long would that last?

Not bad, pity the battery life stinks. Hard to get halfway decent battery life on a laptop suitable for gaming though. At least not without paying a fortune.

With respect to the first selection I'd pass on the GT210, it's only marginally faster then the 9400GT. A step up from Intel integrated graphics but you're going to be very hard pressed to run recent games even with the graphics turned down to the minimum.

So why dontcha? Or if you want something more reliable, a PS3. If you don't care about graphics, a Wii. If you want something portable, a DS or PSP. La lal la lal la...
