I got my copy yesterday, and I have not gotten a PC game in years. I read it says "Internet Connection required". Does this mean I have to be connected to the internet while playing or what? For those who have the game, please tell me.

Since I have not even installed the game ( I got the game in the US, and I am a tourist here, hence, I do not have my PC) is this all needed? Or is the internet stuff needed for playing online-only?

yea the enitre game can be played offline, but as long as you have internet where you're from, then you should be fine. Also unless you have some sort of controller that you can use for your pc, I would highly suggest against getting a racing game for the pc simply because the controls are harder. So if you have a console, get it for that.

You must have an Internet connection because you need to activate the game once, during installation, via an Online code. After that, you can play offline.

Does it have that "phone activation" feature that a lot of games have? If so then you could activate it that way.

It does check the net during install, and looking at the case right now, dead center on the bottom of the front "Internet connection required" its safe to assume that yes, you need to have an internet connection.

I don't mind registering the game online. I mind having to be online to play the campaign. And I have a steering wheel for my PC. I already got the game. Pre-ordered.

yeah, i wonder why they rarely ever mention the "internet connection required for activation" part along with the system requirements any more, i mean they used too and it says right on the back of the box, but they seem to conveniently leave that little part out on websites. amazon just says "internet required for online play" and thats it, hmm
