Norton 360's real time protection slows down the hard drive 1600% when you are trying to run two or more programs that access the hard drive at the same time. What a relief to be able to multitask again!

Anything Norton-related should not be used on any operating system whatsoever.

I have norton. I don't know if its 360 or not. I did notice I got a 5.2 on Vista HDD speed, which I think is kinda low considering I'm running SATAII and 7200, which is about as high as you can get without breaking the bank on a 10,000 HDD, which is known for not being stable.

It must be only a Vista issue and if it's just with Vista then that's MS fault. I've used Norton 360 on my system with XP, since the day it was released, with no problems. I for one trust Nortons 1,000,000,000,000% more then Windows for protecting my system. I actually run two protection programs with no noticeable loss with both Norton 360 and Webroot Spysweeper active at all times. As long as they are not updating or running a system scan my system runs fine. I'd rather have real time protection instead of letting something infect my PC and have to remove it later after it causes it's damage. Just from normal web surfing Webroot and Nortons has blocked plenty of things that Windows never notcied and they were blocked before anything bad happened. I even tried to infect my system on purpose by going to websites I knew were bad just to test everything out and as soon as Webroot or Nortons detected anything they just blocked access to the internet and removed the threat. I do have my Windows Fire Wall turned on and it's never protected me against anything.
