Do you force yourself to finish a game?

Hi there fellow PC gamers.

It's been few days I had this question in mind, should I force myself to finish this game or not. well the game I have in mind is Darksiders 2, I played the first one and enjoyed almost every moment of it, spent around 30 hours on that game and got every single achievements ( yea enjoyed it that much ) but then I started the 2nd game right after and despite all the improvements I cant bring myself to finish the game.

Im around 8 hours in and Im forcing myself to go through this game for some reason. so whats your openion/suggestion on this matter? what do you guys do in situations likle this? I mean I wanna finish the story but should I force it through or just leave it and pick it back up sometime in the future?

If I'm close to the end, then sure. But if I'm only a few hours in and just am no feeling it, I'll quit.

I used to when i didnt have a job, and buying a game meant finishing it...RE5 comes to mind

It happens every now and then. If I'm starting to lose interest in a game but then find out that I'm fairly close to the end then I'll try to finish it. Sometimes that isn't worth it if you just plain hate the game though. In your case OP, it sounds like you're a little burned out. You pumped 30 hours into a game and then immediately started its sequel. In my experience it's best to play something else for a while before a sequel. Maybe take some time away from Darksiders 2 and play something else. When you go back to it you might enjoy it more.Twisted14

Yes. I was going to buy Mass Effect 3. But, I looked at the games I haven't finished and decided to play them instead. I just got done with Hard Reset. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is next. After that, I have Uncharted 3. I'm almost done with Uncharted 3 (near the end of the Brass City). But, I got sidetracked by Far Cry 3.

If I'm close to the end, then sure. But if I'm only a few hours in and just am no feeling it, I'll quit.

Wow!! I'm going through what you went through!!! LOL. I'm also forcing myself to finishGhost Recon FS as well. Dissapointing game. It's like "Staples" (the store) the game basically hit the easy button for you. Boring as hell.

i played klonoa 2 like 6 months ago, so i decided to try to learn 3d modelling in spare time, e.g in history class is forced for engineers by my university and playing quake live is too obvious [spoiler] [/spoiler] first model, rigged, facial expressions everything.

Though it's fine that zubin is faster. His reactions are faster than mine. He averages ~160ms reactions. When I am at my best I do 178ms reactions.

Although unlike him, my reaction times vary a lot more. =/ He can stay up for 48 hours and his reactions only slow down by like 10ms. Mine slow down by like 60 ms after staying up 3 hrs LOL. But he's not normal, he's a robot.

Average scrub does stuff like 20,000

they have a mass click too, and for that I am ranked 27th place. 60.2 seconds. There's always like 30+users online at the site too.

Mainly cs 1.6 players and tribes snipers.

First time I tried I did 55,000(I have no experience with windows mouse sensitivity, RTS users will be right at home). I did it a few more times than did ~66000. Then I got g9x and I do 71000.

Abyssus was too hard for me to click.

OFC zubin the robot did 67,000 his first try. Then increased to 73,000.
