^^question

Been thinking about picking up a xbox 360 sometime later just to get to the exclusives. I am wondering what kind of buying habits people here have when owning a PC gaming machine and a console.

Do you own a console just play the exclusives that will never come to PC? When there is a game avaliable for both the console and PC you pick up the PC version instead, even if the game takes six months to be released? Do you find yourself playing PC games a lot more even you have a console?

thanks

I own more than "a" console... I like the exclusives on the PS3 and DS Lite (not playing much on my 360 due to the red ring horror) and if a game is available on multiple platforms I buy it for the one that has the least amount of glitches and bugs in its version. I prefer to have RPGs for the PC, due to the mod-ability, and of course it's the only platform that offers MMOs.

I have a PC and a 360.. "Do you own a console just play the exclusives that will never come to PC?" Pretty much "When there is a game avaliable for both the console and PC you pick up the PC version instead, even if the game takes six months to be released?" PC is usually my preferred system... "Do you find yourself playing PC games a lot more even you have a console?" Yes But I still find my 360 a lot of fun and there's quite a few games coming out soon that have me excited. Plus, the 360 has some nice additional features other than gaming: -Netflix -DVD player -Movie/Music/Picture Streaming to TV from home computers

I have an Xbox 360 and a PC. I still play alot on my PC, maybe not as much. The main reason I got the system was for console exclusives or games that had rediculous requirements for the PC.

I don't have a console. I'm constantly flying to someplace for work and such and I don't really have the time to sit down in front of a TV and play games. My laptop is my greatest treasure (ipod touch second). I just wish the battery life was greater though..

I own a PC, 360 and PS3.

I like it a lot, I go between my PC and 360 a lot but I'm primarily on my PC most of the time. My PS3 collects dust most of the time unless I wanna watch a movie lol.

But yeah good recent examples are being able do dodge the AC2 DRM mess and play the game months in advance, and Red Dead Redemption is also coming out soon which looks great.

Of course.

Between my daughter and myself:

2 x gaming PCs

Wii

PS3

DS

DS Lite

Gameboy Advanced SP and original

PSP

GameCube

PS2

My favorite up to now is still the PC, of course. Someday that may change. Not right now though.

Nope 100% PC gamer here (with two gaming PC's), I did own an xbox 360 for a while but I was less than impressed with it so chucked it. There is just nothing that interests me on the consoles game wise. Anything that is of any interest isn't worth forking out £200 to buy a console for. My brief flirtation with the xbox 360 was something I regretted all I kept thinking whilst playing games on it was "why am I having to play this game with a crappy joypad and graphics/framerates I wouldn't tolerate on my PC ?".

To me if a company doesn't want to make their game available on the PC then I sure as hell do not want to make my money available to them. If you have a good PC setup then there should be no reason to own a console the only way consoles can even compete with a PC is by keeping games OFF the PC altogether. Now I know what I am saying will be unpopular, if you are happy to play games on a console then fair enough. However I am not, the PC can do everything the consolse can do and more so I don't bother with consoles.

I own a PS3 but gaming on it blows, so its basically a netflix + bluray player.

PC gaming is just so much better I have a hard time gimping myself with a controller and worse display. I'll never buy another console again.

1. i own a 360. i have a ps3 too but dont really like many games on it other than uncharted 2 so ended up using it just for blu-ray.

2. i will pick up the pc version if simultaneous release, if not i probably wont wait and ill buy the console version. if the pc version comes several months later i may trade in my 360 version and get the pc one, if its worth doing.

3. i play the 360 when i have mates round (mainly for fifa). i used to play almost exclusively pc and my 360 gathered dust but i have been playing on it a bit more lately. its good for when you get in from work late and cant be bothered to go upstairs and turn the pc on

I have a psp, ds lite, ps3, 2 gaming pcs. Ps3 is in the living room and great home gaming system and blu ray play. Had blue dog linux on it as well but its gone now. My family owns a wii as well and usually every weekend we have family over here playing multiplayer games on the ps3 or wii. Good systems in there own right. I've lent out my ds lite and psp to my little nephews as I rarely use them now outside of plane trips.

I own all 3 consoles plus retro consoles and really only have about 4-5 games for the 360 and PS3 and like 2 games for the Wii. The consoles are alright and there are a few games that are enjoyable on them but most of the time I'm on my computer playing games.

I own a PS1/2/3, Xbox/360, Wii, DS And a PSP that broke long ago, I like to try Multiplatform games on different Consoles just to compare the difference, but I have more games on PC as PC has consistently been pumping out games since before I was born therefor more variety.

I have a Wii to go alongside my PC, but it doesn't get used much (But SMG2 soon :D ). Too few of the 360/PS3 exclusives interest me - they're largely FPSs and button mashers with little subtlety.

The PC offers me 90% of the type of games I want to play, with the Wii making up the rest. A few games on the others look good, but I think I'll manage without them.

I have been a pc gamer for the last 6 years; then I bought a PS3 and a nice Full HD TV and now I never use my pc anymore. Well only when I want to play some Xbox exclusives like Mass Effect, L4D and Fable, I just get those on the pc.

Not saying PC games are bad.

I had PS 2/Xbox -- but I rarely used them. I used them generally to try out the kind of the games PC didn't get and whose trailers looked cool (ala GoW 1/2, FFX, NG, DMC etc) This time around, I preferred buying extra PCs instead of a console ( 2 gaming desktop PCs and 2 gaming laptops :D)

I own a PC and a 360. I game mostly on my PC, my 360 on the other hand is strictly for friends at this point seeing as im the only PC gamer in the group. However, since you have to pay to play online, thats a huge turn off for me, even if playing with friends is fun.

I own a gaming PC, PS3, 360 and a Wii. I'm a gamer so of course I want to be able to play all games. And I just can't take people serious who claim that a certain system has no games that interest them. Seems to be prerry narrow minded. Same goes for "I can't bother with teh consolez because games on PC look a million times better!!1" people. There are a lot of awesome PC games which do have mediocre graphics at best and I'm not too elite to enjoy them, too.

For exclusives, you should get a PS3 instead. That's what I have. It complements the PC nicely, since most 360 games make it to PC anyway.

I have a 360, PC, and PS3... I use my 360 A LOT (most of my friends on are 360)... Next would be PC, I use that for games I really enjoy on 360 or PC exclusives (Fallout 3/Oblivion since I loved them on 360, LOTS of RTS games...)... And my PS3, I just buy exclusives and very rarely play it... Like MGS4, Uncharted 1/2, Heavy Rain, etc... I get them, beat them, and then forget I even own a PS3...

My PS3 is pretty much a glorified Blu-Ray player. The last game it seen was God of War 3 and before that Uncharted 2.

I also have a 360 (evident from my sig), but I find myself playing less and less of it these days. My friends have finally made the switch to PC gaming although we still play some Live once in a while. Also, there aren't a lot of titles coming out for the 360 that interest me. When Skate 3 and Red Dead Redemption arrive, though, I'll start using it more.

A majority of the games that I play or am interested in are either PC exclusive or multiplats, for which case I generally spring for the PC version.

Own a PC and PS3. Been debating on whether I should sell my PS3 for the last couple of months. Though I'm afraid to get rid of it because some thing I like may finally gets released for it besides MGS4.

Do you find yourself playing PC games a lot more even you have a console?

thanks

If you were to get a console get a PS3 for its exclusives since most of the 360 games are on PC. I own a 360, PS3 and PC and PSP.

ps3 is still the best blu-ray player out there though. After ffxiii i too almost gave up on the ps3, but I think ill wait for the last guardian and/or a better blu-ray player.
