this is the survey question currently up on IGN's pc section. to my surprise, more than 70% of the participants voted "no". i thought, despite the torrent of haters, vast majority of pc gamers would still vouch for the game. what do you think, Gamespotter?

I still want to play it again, but I know that I always lose interest around level 25-30 because I just don't want to spend that much time playing. Sticking with SP RPGs for now I guess.

the new patch is great. i like it.

fixed some performance issues, still doesnt support SLI or Crossfire. added a lot more shadders for the games graphical engine.

new talent trees, new profession. and whatnot.

but im very curious to see what blizzards Secret MMO is.... thats supposed to be so different than anything out so far...

to poster just before me diablo franchise is, and always will be an online rpg, not an MMO. they arent exactly an NCsoft or a THQ which has been making mmo's for a while. WoW was there attempt at marketing there oldest franchise and giving it new life. it regretablly has done nothing to improve it other than increase a fanbase and fluff count. but we can attribute those to good marketing. It will probably be there only MMO title. they simply cant distinguish the two apart (online rpg from MMO(kinda like a coorpg from an MMO))

11 Million players, but in terms of "Consumor interest" outside of those playing after 4 years? ofcourse theres going to be more "no's" than yes.

ugh, I got sick of it after BC was released. BC totally ruined the game for me. But Blizzard wanted to keep the game going for those who were already bored. Not to mention that they are still making a ton of money off of it. I don't care about wow anymore and I never will again. Next blizzard game i play is definitly going to be Diablo III.

It's a fun game but most enjoyable when playing with a friend IMO. It's always fun to explore.

I sort of do... I quit about a year ago, and now that WOTLK is coming out, I'm considering playing again. Also now with the new patch, all my friends that still play are telling me how good it is.

well, after almost 12 hours the nay sayers outnumbered those who care by roughly 2 to 1, which is a result comparable to the one over at IGN. my take is that, even tho still very successful, North American gamers might be starting to lose interest in this years old game. remember, more than half of the wow subscribers are Asians, and they obviously don't come to this board. the same goes to most of the euro gamers, i guess.

That games dead.... seriously they need to move on to World of Warcraft 2 or something and beef up the cartoony graphics, not to mention lower the monthly fee...

I go through phases with this game. I play for a few months until I hate it, and then I start playing again when a major patch or exp comes out. I'd probably have quit by now for good if I didn't have good friends that still play but live all over the country. It's a good way to keep in touch and have some fun.

I devoted about 20 days worth of gametime to that game, but I quit a few months back, I just couldn't take it anymore, it just became too reptitive.

They really aren't losing any interest in WoW, trust me. I know many people who are eagerly awaiting the expansion pack.

It was fun when I played it (pretty much straight from release until a few months ago), but no game could hold my attention forever. I don't play or keep up to date with new changes anymore.

Yes I do, no matter how often I quit I always end up going back to it. With the new patch out now, I'm debating whether I should just reactivate my account or wait for the expansion.

I will be honest; if it were not for Wrath of the Lich King, I would not care. Ive played it for years, the past year or so off and on. And I always renew, play a few hours a week, and get bored.

I hate soloing since Ive done just about every quest ten times, my "casual" guild has suddenly decided to get into raiding hardcore (bye-bye fun 5-man instances :( ) and finding a PuG takes too long, and 80% of the time you get a bad group.

Truthfully, I am debating whether or not to even get Wrath. All it will do is perpetuate the cycle that should have ended a long time ago.

i only play during my holidays. otherwise i can't devote enough time to enjoy it. the fact that a few of my friends still play helps, too.

I quit for a while, but I started playing again with the new patch. I do have a soft spot for WoW; it's my first mmo and the reason why I got into PC gaming again.

Granted, everything feels new now, but I know that it's going to get repetitive again in time. The sights, sounds, and community don't do it for me like it used to. It's still kind of fun though.

I'll log on, do a few battlegrounds and arenas, and then log off.
