Do you think MODS will make Far Cry 2 a better game?? When??

I bought FC2 over the weekend , been playing it for the last couple of days but now I have stop. I can't take more driving around for 20 minutes for 2 minutes fight....we all know the problems, there are many posts about them, but the question is...DO you think Mods will make this game a better game ??? When??

if somebody makes a post were guards stay dead for for example, 3 days , add more wildlife, more efficient weapons so you dont have to shoot a guy 20 times to kill him .... it would make FC2 a much better game. I suppose someone will make it, so until then, I have stop playin... I suppose I will have to wait 2 or 3 more weeks...

BTW I totally agree with the Gamespy review, I dont usually read Gamespy, but this time the review is totally correct:

I hope so, because right now the game fails. Half the map is forcing you in a linear path to attack the same camp for the 50th time. Stealth is poorly implemented. doyousmellthat

How is stealth not viable? With a silence Marakov, Silence MP5, camo suit, and a dart gun (which is lethal just so you know) you are utterly undetectable. I play the game that way and don't have trouble cleaning out entire missions without getting touched. You just have to keep moving and stay low.

That said, I would like a mod that made camps respawn more slowly. It is sometimes a pain having to kill the same guys multiple times on a mission.

It equips automatically. It's not like active invisibility, but it makes you blend in to tall grass. For example, enemies standing right next to you in grass will not notice you until you make a move. It's more effective at night as well.

i agree that the crysis syndrome as g-unit call it is annoying and i prefer weapons to be more powerfull thats something that i modded in crysis and far cry 2 but i can insure you that at least far cry 2 is more balanced in combat unlike crysis that one shot disables armor mode! the reason you drive for 30 minutes is because its a worldmap not eg crysis or stalker that you follow a path and enemies are waiting there to shoot them, now it makes not sense to place random mercs that attack in real life ion afric, no does it? you gotta drive for long just like gta, its africa not a fake level!

Same here, it's just not fun when they respawn that fast. Beyond the spawning issue I thought the game was very fun though, will be happy to jump back in once a slower respawn mod emerges.

ZOMG THENEWAU STOP POSTING PLEASE!!!!!! It's obvious that you are a FC2 fanboy so go post in system wars. There are alot of people who agree that Far Cry 2 is not what it could have been for the various reasons (I'm one of these people, having played the game right through) but all you do is come in the forums, state the game is amazing for no reason then start talking about how crap crysis is ARGH. Although in this thread you have worked in Stalker so i guess you are expanding your pointless comparisons. Let people have their own opinion without trying to shove yours down everyones throat with a grenade attached (also stop posting 10 million times per page, you can re-edit your post if you want to add).

Now to actually talk about something relevant to the thread, yes the game would be great with mods. Someone out there will definitly fix the checkpoint respawning, maybe someone will add in another fast travel idea that works better than the bus system, maybe someone will make hang-gliders good so you can actually put them to good use. In another thread someone mentioned a zombie mod which is a good idea to. And also they could do something with the weather. Rain and wind at night is cool but i think I saw that like 3 times in the whole game. I know it's Africa but hey I like playing my games while it's raining!
