Do you usually use mods on your first playthrough or not? Do you use them in the later playthroughs or dont use them at all?

I tend to use them on second or third playthroughs (or beyond) normally texture based, minus fixes and added items etc. I only use them on the first play through if they fix what i see as a major bug but that doesnt happen often :) And of course some games do not require mods and are fine as is so a mixed amount.

I use content adding/changing mods after I've finished the game.

On my first playthrough I use graphics improving ones(if needed ofcourse :P )

On my very first playthrough of any moddable game, I run default stuff just to see how the developers have intended the game to be. Then I proceed to spice it up with mods and tweaks :)

depends what type of game it is and how old it is, i will never use a major mod usually only one that tweaks the look of something no gameplay ones.

I just started my first playthough of Stalker: SoC with the 2009 Complete Mod. I hope I'm not ruining any experience with modding on the first go but it seems to be worth it so far. Usually though, I dont do mods first time playing.

Normally I play most games unmodded first to play it as it was intended. Then I go and mod the crap out of it later. There are exceptions though. For example, I'm doing my first playthrough in STALKER: SoC with the 2009 complete mod since I've already played through STALKER: CoP and don't want to bear with a decrease in graphics quality. I don't regret it either since the complete mod not only makes the game look much better, but the sound effects are WAY above any of the unmodded STALKER games.

Depends, I usually play the game without mods first to experience the game the way the developer wanted me to. However when the developer's vision of the game requires mods (i.e KOTOR II) then I'll play it with mods.
